QMx Announces TMNT Collectibles

Quantum Mechanix (QMx) has announced a new series of Q-Figs based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! For those new to Q-Figs, they are small, stylized statues, usually with themed bases. At times, QMx produces deluxe Q-Figs, with more detailed diorama displays. They will be revealing the Turtles all week via their social media channels. We’ll update this post each day, as new TMNT Q-Figs are revealed.

Quote:
Get ready – Turtle Power is coming to QMx. We’re beyond excited to reveal our Teenage Mutant Turtle Q-Figs all week long. Each day, we’ll show off a new Turtle hero that you’ll be able to add to your collection this summer. Check our social media feeds on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook every day this week to get a first look at Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo. Who’s your favorite? It doesn’t matter – you know you need all four!

TURTLE POWER!

I feel like the collectible market is going to tank very soon, with some exceptions. All the big brands will be fine. A smaller company like NECA that has a huge following a good reputation will be fine. But I look at stuff like this and wonder why I would choose it over toilet paper.

I couldn't help but think about that last night. They just had ToyFair and a ton of companies just unveiled a ton of awesome - but fairly pricey - sh*t... and now everybody's out of a job. Ain't nobody gonna be buyin' that sh*t until things stabilize, and for some people, it's not gonna anytime soon.

Like you gotta wonder how many middle-aged yuppies with mid-life crises and an "essential personnel" government job actually exist, because ain't nobody but them in a position to be buying toys, all of a sudden. I spent a measly $26 on a 1990 Movie Splinter last week and now I feel like SUCH an asshole.

As I've said elsewhere... the ripple effect of this pandemic is gonna hit way harder than the virus. We're still in "calm before the storm" phase.

This writing has been on the wall for quite some time. In a different context, just think about how many breweries and restaurants have opened over the last decade. It's a totally oversaturated market, and when things get tough people just aren't going to drop $35 for a couple of beers and a taco plate. I think we're at that point. The U.S. didn't need to be caught with its pants down this way, but that's a different discussion for a different board. I hope everyone stays safe and lands on their feet on the other side of this.

Oh hey, I'm happy to see straight priorities here! I'm a member of a couple GI Joe collector groups on FB and whenever someone brings up the virus or saving money they get laughed at.

I'm not saying I didn't just preorder the 3-crate NECA package but I've certainly adjusted my priorities in a lot of other areas. Stay safe, stay healthy, and consider others! It might not always be comfortable but we should all be able to get through this.

Oh, and be nice on the internet. Suddenly this is about the only place we can "go"!

The distorted proportions are kinda stylish, but man those baby legs kinda give the whole thing a creepy factor.

This x1000

Also, I kind of like the figure but it's not something I would buy.

Not a fan at all. I wish companies would stop making random TMNT fan art design or stock art merch when there are so many iterations not being represented. The market is sooo over-saturated with these kinda things.

...Alright, maybe just for a little while.

They look like the Nick bathtub toys from a few years back.

I do like them, but that is a good point. Would love seeing the 2k3 turtles getting some love.

Hmm. Quality looks nice but I don't collect statues and the proportions are kind of weird (sort of super deformed, but not in a really cute way)

I'm happy with my NECA and Super 7 stuff coming this year. So pass from me.

These last few years we have been flooded with 80s Toon turtle products and I think we are past the tipping point. And the covid-19 situation is making matters even worse from a buyer perspective.

Awesome face sculpts, lots of detail, but the proportions kind of kill it for me. Not sure if they are trying to make them look 3D or something, but they are strange. Depending upon how they release these, I'm hoping to just snag Leonardo. If the set looks badass altogether, I might be a sucker for this set.
