The heads of the full-bodied Krang clones were almost the exact same shape as Krang. I believe it was an exoskeleton situation. Still, where the body hid those arm tentacles is anyone's guess.

I think it wasn't that long ago that I named the ep for someone else, but which ep was it that had the moustachioed 'Krangezoid' brain? I'm almost certain it was a season 3 ep.

It's from the episode "Four Musketurtles".

Thanks, hude (pun on the word, "dude")! Watching the ep again, I have to say: I thought there was a bit more backstory to that flashback. All that was said was that it was their first tests with dimensional travel that they decided to send Dimension X's rarest element to Earth. Of all the genius plotlines... -_-

So, Krang had a body, but then he was nothing more than a disembodied brain?

I agree. Maybe it's just Shredder imaging when Krang tells the story (and maybe Shredder didn't think of that Krang once had a body.

Then there was that scene which showed others like Krang walking around in Bubblewalker in a Flashback (Krang with a mustache was prizeless), which would also support this theory.
The Lizards that the Krang-Clones became could also have been a pre-evolutional Form of Krangs own Race, they evoluted backwards.

sry if I made some mistakes in the short Text, remember english isn't the language I grew up with...
This is exactly how I always though of it as well. So when Krang wanted Shredder to build him a body in the first season, he wanted a robotic body just like he used to have.

Well he could also have ment his real robotic body. He never says that he had a biological Body.

Probably meant his real biological body. After all, all Shredder gave him as a robot to control. Not the same have a real body than just sitting in a cockpit controlling a fake robot version of your real body.

And Archie Krang even took Shredders body in one issue.

Aside from the voice, as we can see by Krang's clones his "face" doesnt change at all. Its basically what we see just attached to the body, thats why he was easily recognized

Besides, I think Krang is being called brain because he resembles one, not because he is one. He has a mouth after all. I think he is a disembodied head that just resembles a brain rather than being one

But look at the Face of that clone: Where are the tentacles he uses as arms?

As I said, I think the clone "evoluted" backwards, thats why they Faces did change a bit and the "tentacles" Krang uses as Hands "devoluted" into real arms.

"Evolved", sir... The word you're looking for is "evolved".

Well, for apparent reasons the head wont have the tentacles because its attached to a full body. I think of Krang's tentacles as roots that attached the head to the rest of the body. Note that Krang had to have been ripped off his body, not cut away because of its uneven shape, and tentacles are the result of that.

Krang was probably blasted by some sort of de-evolve ray and turned into what he is, thinking it would stop him from causing further harm.
