Is the background on the villain box set the same as the Turtles was? I'm talking about the street scene directly behind all the figures.

I know this is late in the day, but I finally got my grubby mits on the NYCC E&L villains pack, thanks to Shogun26.

So glad to have invested in these, they are awesome. I think this is the best Shredder figure currently out there.

Like some others have mentioned, my Shredders legs are a little loose, they struggle to fight against gravity!

NECA is doing so much great TMNT work right now.

What with them, SHFiguarts, DreamEx, First Gokin, Revoltech, Lego, Playmates, Mega Blocks etc I don’t think there has ever been a better time to be a Turtles fan with this much quality merchandise knocking about.

Good times dudes, good times.

Thanks. I think they just took the backdrop out of the box the villains came in. I was wondering if it was the same artwork used previously with the box set of turtles.

I had one of those moments when the light bulb goes bright

I used a hair dryer on shredder and he got pretty loose at the shoulder joints. But could have been better. I have foot soldier that was really bad. Sitting next to my space heater, I looked at it and thought why not. So I set each one, separately, in front of it for just a minute or two. I let them cool just a bit as they got very very soft. Worked the joints a little. Much much better, and no standing holding the figure and a hair dryer. I put Shredder feet towards it. That way it wouldn't blow directly on his little blades. I do think if I had forgotten them they might have melted. But worked really well.

Oh word, so the heat works for joint loosening too? I'll have to try it!

It does! I used a blow dryer on my orange Foot Solder from the SDCC set whose "thigh" swivels were stuck and I was able to loosen them.

NECA website they were $100.

I would say they are double that price now if you want to get your hands on them.

EDIT: That is to say, to get your hands on one of the NECA issued 3000 pieces. Some people on here hate the term, but I'm sure the "knock-offs" and "bootlegs" will appear soon enough at a much better price with great quality.

You can be lucky and win a auction on eBay for under $150 + shipping, you just gotta keep a eye open.

Get em both. Then your Figuarts turtles will have good baddies to fight with.

Try a little bit of Future furniture polish. Put a drop on the joint, work it around to fully coat it, then let it dry. Repeat as needed. Dries clear and works wonders on transformers.
