Cool. Do you like the game? I was thinking of buying that game but I don't know if it is any good.

Are you implying he's incorrect because there are better 3D Sonic games, or because Generations isn't good?

He said it is the only remotely good 3D sonic game. I don't agree with that. Even if it's likely the best by most accounts it's not the only good one. I like the Adventure games. I have not played the GC versions though, only DC. I also have them on Steam but have not had time to see how good the ports are... Steam sales often put me in this situation

Oh, OK. I was gonna jump you if you thought Generations was bad.

I do agree with him, though. As much as I have nostalgia for Sonic Adventure, and especially SA2 on GCN, they're awful games.

They have aged extremely poorly.

Agreed. At the time they seemed pretty incredible though. Or at least the Sonic portions. Colors isn't bad, though not a fully 3D game.

So I should rather think of buying Sonic Generations. What about Sonic Colours or Sonic and the secret rings, are they any good?

Sonic Generations is the best. I meant the Adventure games aged poorly. Especially compared to Generations.

Sonic Colours isn't as good as people make it out to be and Sonic and the Secret Rings is just bad. Sonic Generations, although still with its fair share of absolutely horrid design (last boss comes to mind,) is the most solid Sonic game in decades.

Only if your definition of "worth it" is being frustrated and bored to death. Man, those werehog levels just take you out of the experience. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot I enjoyed about Sonic Unleashed, but there's too much misery involved. But hey, if you're a diehard enough Sonic fan, I see no reason to not try it for yourself whenever you could get your hands on it, for a reasonable price at least.

The new Sonic for Wii-U looks Galaxy inspired, but only time will tell if its good. I'm surprised Sega made it exclusive to Wii-U, perhaps Nintendo is helping with certain aspects of it?

I still play the Adventure series from time to time, particularly for nolstagia. I think they had the best soundtracks out of the 3D Sonic games, save for Generations.

I love that game. It's a little like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle which is really awesome.

Thank you for all your replies! I'll check if I can get Sonic Generations.

Is their any Sonic games that is great for 2player or Co-op play? I heard that Sonic Heroes maybe 2player but I heard that game is bad too.

@Icebot . So you like it. What did you enjoy? The boss battles or certain levels, etc?

My favorite thing about the game is exploring the place called Mystic Ruins. I really like the music in Mystic Ruins. Something about it takes me back to my childhood from late June, 1991 which coinsidentally is the same month the first Sonic Sega Genesis game came out. I also like taking the train to the city. There's something about it that makes me feel like I'm going on vacation and having fun.
