Biden Finally Picks a VP
Let's see how long we can discuss this, but I have one question that's been bugging me for a long time... almost as long as it's taken Biden, heh heh.
Have we ever had someone take this long to pick their VP? I know we all hardly ever pay attention to VPs, because they don't really do a whole helluva lot anymore. Just seems like this time took a whole lot longer. Thoughts?

Someone who can't keep his hands to himself and someone who slept her way to the top. What a pair!

Eh, I think it's for the best that he took his time and actually mulled it over for as long as he did. Pence might not be all that active or seen that often as the VP, though doesn't mean that Harris won't, and Biden himself was far from invisible as VP. If he was careful to make his pick, then I doubt he's looking for someone to just stand on the sidelines and yes-man him. And he chose someone who also wasn't afraid to test him in debate, disagree, and bring up past choices and words of his. That's all a plus imo.
I mean, admitted personal bias because I'm a Delaware resident... lol But still, I think he did right in taking his time rather than just acting like filling the position was an obligation to just quickly get out of the way. |

So what are Biden's chances of getting elected?

Now? With Harris as a running mate? I?d say worse than his chances were before. My bold prediction is that not only will Trump be re-elected but he will do it with overwhelming support. Then the real civil unrest will happen!
I also think the DNC is going to want the debates joined with running mates present as well. That way, Harris can protect Joe from himself and Trump! |

I guess maybe the long wait can be blamed on COVID shutting a lot of things down, hampering political process, yadda yadda yadda?
I just feel like we heard from Sarah Palin non-stop for almost a year when McCain was running. That's the last news-worthy VP candidate I can recall. I'm probably just misremembering things. I'm admittedly pretty terrible at gauging the passage of time. I'm like the opposite of CyberCubed.

Make a thread about Biden choosing his VP without mentioning who his VP is the first post. Great thread. |

Kamala is gonna demolish the human q-tip aka Mike Pence in debates and I can't wait to see it.

She's said a lotta dumb sh*t in her day too, though. That could easily come back to blow up on her and the rest of them. The whole situation is a disaster no matter which side of the aisle you're on.
It's worse than Giant Douche vs. Turd Sandwich, it's... I don't know WHAT this whole thing is. Virus aside, I still predict the lowest voter turnout in the last 50 years. There's literally nobody to root for, they're all total garbage. I can kinda see Biden pulling off a squeaker if just enough "Anyone But Trump" people show up, but... eh. The "It's Donald Trump's fault I can't hug my grandkids" attack ads are just, the dirt worst, though. Sh*t like that is why I'll never side with Those People. They're jackals in sheep's clothing. "He'll say absolutely anything to get cheers from his delusional base!" Yeah, Pot, meet Kettle. I just can't wait for it to all be over, same as every four years. Pretty much everyone around here in my area expects that come Nov./Dec. we're "magically" gonna be able to go outside and take our masks off again while the election winner is hailed as the savior of all humanity. We shall see.
