idk why the first pic is so small..
but here's my "Pastel" variant of Ray Fillet .. after looking at his horrible chest everyday for the past 8 years I decided to do something about it.. was going to sell him, but it was mentioned that throwing the figure in the freezer would fix it.. so I did just that.. he was in a jumbo ziplock back for probably close to 30 minutes in there.. I'm very pleased with the result! Last edited by Obbie; 07-06-2020 at 06:34 PM. |

Wouldn't it naturally stay sort of pale anyway, given that it's in temperate conditions most of the time.
Also, am I correct in recalling that one version of Ray went from yellow to red, one went from yellow to grey (or was it red to grey?), and one didn't change at all? |

Its funny. I actually just bought a carded a Ray and when it arrived in the mail this week, looked horrible and grey and faded (shoulda took a pic). It was super hot outside so I imagine thats what did it.
I had planned on throwing it the freezer when I got back from stepping out for a bit. But by the time I got back at home, it was back how it should have been with nice bright reds and purples. Cooling off in the house was enough. Whew! |

so the figure is upstairs in my game room.. he went back to the grayish color up there because it gets none of the central air.. I took him downstairs to see if he'd go back to the red/purple and sure enough he did.
and as for how many variations of the figure I think there's only the non color change and then the red v and purple v.. I know that there are several variations of the cardback. |

I wonder if that "Red Chest Purple V" version, without the color change sunburst, does in fact change colors? Seems like that no starburst version would have come between the ones that do change and the Yellow chest that don't.

That?s strange. They have the red chest, purple ?V? Ray Filet with the chest color change Ray illustration to the right of the action figure, but not the yellow chest, blue ?V? Ray Filet with the chest color change Ray illustration to the right of it.
