Only the first Toy Story is great, second is ok, and third is ok but a rip-off of the brave little toaster. I may be alone but the recaled Buzz Lightyear storyline seemed more fun than what we got

I also think that the second and third are better than the first. The original film has some great stuff, but the problem is that they made Mr. Potato Head and some of the other toys look like villains during that whole misunderstanding of Buzz being knocked out in the window. I don't think that was the intention, but it really did come across that way for me and my best friend.

I like all three movies the same.
Each one is fairly unique and interesting. Though, I'd say third movie is more darker and more depressing.

Yeah, first movie is a classic, but I feel some parts haven't aged as well, it's held up by the classic banter between Woody and Buzz and the whole "You are a toy!" humor. But I don't like Sid's subplot much.

Toy Story 2 and 3 were really good.

It seems that Hanks is echoing what Allen had said earlier. The ending was almost impossible for him to get through.

Toy Story 3 is the worst entry in the series imo. I hope this 4th one is gonna be better.

Disney also released a poster and a synopsis.

Quote:
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.

Sounds like the first movie. I don't know, this might be the first Toy Story movie that feels unneeded.

Toy Story 3 is also pointless and unneeded but here we are.

I hope in 4 they address how toys are becoming more irrelevant to kids now in modern world, what with toys r us shutting down and such. That’ll create a real peril for the toys.

A toy with an existential crisis? I don't suppose they're delving too deep into that, but this is already more interesting than TS3 was.

During an interview, Tim Allen has revealed that Keanu Reeves has a part in this movie and it will be an important one. That will be interesting to see because I don't recall him doing voice roles in the world of animation.

Toy Story 2 and 3 were really good.
I've watched the first Toy Story movie countless times. Probably my most watched movie ever alongside Space Jam. That being said, last time I watched Toy Story was when I was 12 years old or so. No idea how much I'd like it as an adult. Probably not as much.

I watched Toy Story 2 once. It was at the cinema, to boot. Didn't like it much.

Never watched Toy Story 3.

We've discussed this elsewhere, Prowler, but my feelings that the original Toy Story trilogy is one of the few "perfect" movie trilogies, in which there really isn't a bad movie, have a lot to do with my feeling that Part 4 is a mistake. You can't make things better, you can only ruin it. No, nothing can "ruin" the original three, but you can totally ruin the fact that "All the existing Toy Story movies are good." You can absolutely create a world where that statement is no longer true. And why would you wanna do that? Believe me, I know the an$wer, but I'm still right.

Think how rare that scenario really is. There's really only that trilogy, and Back to the Future. No other series has JUST good-to-great movies, and that's why they're so special.

"Well, there's three good ones, and then this other one that's kinda bad." Well, now you're EVERY movie series, and you're not special anymore.

As is, this Sporky thing isn't a pitch for Toy Story 4, it's a bad SNL skit mocking the creators of Toy Story for running out of ideas. Maybe that's all part of the "meta-fiction".
