40 issues!

The IDW ongoing is now over-the-hill!

But in a good way...

Bebop using a chainsaw is a great weapon choice, makes the fights have more "weight" to them so to speak.

That does come out this week. Looks like I'll have to trim my comics budget.

I thought the top of the hill was 35 so 36 would start down hill.

Is this the first time that Kevin Eastman ever drew Bebop and Rocksteady? I know he and Peter designed them for the toy line but just simply draw them beyond that?

I know he drew them for his cover of the City Fall finale. TMNT#28?

Well, AFAIK. You'd think we'd get a preview of that too if it was still due Wednesday.

So given the fact that Bebop and Rocksteady are doing something they're obviously not supposed to do, do they still have a bright future in the Foot?

They showed initiative by going after the Turtles on their own, and their actions exposed Hob as a clear enemy of the Foot with designs of his own for the city. I'm sure Karai and Shredder will aprove.

We are about 3 issues from that, but:
Spoiler:
This is probably the reason why the whole foot goes against the Mutanimals in Attack on Technodrome.

Looks like Alopex and Nobody are biding their time before attacking. Really, win or lose, B&R get an impressive showing here taking on 3 of 4 turtles, Splinter, the MM and Alopex/Nobody all at once.

I got the feeling from the solicit that Splinter and the Mutanimals launch a preemptive strike against the Foot while Shredder's main force is busy on Burnow Island, but I could be wrong. Either way will be great fun to read.

It's the Conservation of Ninjitsu (literally in this case) trope. If they rushed B&R all at once, they'd only be getting in each other's way. We do know Nobody gets to use her arm laser at some point in the issue, as seen in the green frontispice panel.

Alopex's future after this is a mystery to me. She's not seen aligned with the Turtles, the Mutanimals or even the Foot in upcoming previews, so I wonder how she will fit into the ongoing story.

She is Kitsune's knight. That's it.

Yes, but that necessarily puts her up against at least one of the factions at play. I'm sure Kitsune didn't compel her to come back to New York so soon for nothing... We haven't seen Nobody in the solicits either, so maybe that means something for the duo.

She will probably hang out with Angel, and Kitsune will probably give her sub-conscious commands, like she did before.
