I hope the show does well and even if it does not Iam just thrilled to have Turtles back on tv and in stores! I was totally absent during the years 2k3 was on air I had just got out of high school the year before so was not much into the Turtles then. But I wish the new show all the best and I will be tuned in every Saturday morning!!!

Its already confirmed to have at least 3 seasons, (they said new episodes committed through 2015, which gives us a Season 3), which would be 78 episodes total.

78 episodes is good, but not enough. I think the show needs to last at least 7 seasons.

It will last 7 seasons for sure. Nick wants it to become their most succesful show. To do that they must have more episodes than 1987 and 2003 cartoons had.

What does it means 3.1/14? 3.1 means 3.1 million? And from November the show starts in Europe so Nickelodeon must start releasing the ratings from Europe too and not only from U.S. What most imporant is how well it will do worldwide. It will be more succesful in some countries while in some others it will not be so popular but if there are more countries that it is succesful then there will not be any problems for it.

No, it doesn't mean 3.1 million, it's kind of complicated. Those numbers are called household/share.
3.1 means that 3.1% of households were watching the show, and 14 means 14% of kids K6-11 who were watching TV at that time were tuned into TMNT.

This link explains it well:

There isn't an exact time, but from past experience I'd predict within the next 5 hours.

Ratings earlier than usual this week because they were good enough for Nick to write a press release about.

3.4 million total viewers and great K2-11 numbers.

This is essentially what happened to me as well.

And it's one of the reasons why I am saddened at the lack of a full DVD release of the entire 2003 series.

I do remember that being mentioned, but they won't start playing it regularly until they have enough episodes under their belt. One repeat a week is realistic at the moment because they can't just play the same handful of episodes over and over again.

SpongeBob is Nickelodeon's most successful show and the repeats get great ratings.

But they only show spongebob fairly odd parents and drake and josh! Why wont they at least put on other shows? Also didnt spongebobs rating decrease not to long ago?

The goal for TMNT shows is ten seasons. If they get anywhere near that I will be pleased.

Great ratings, the show should at least make 7 seasons like the 4kids series did.
