Interesting, so Bebop and Rocksteady can only remain mutants as long as they serve Savanti? And who were his previous henchmen? He's not referring Shoate, is he?

No hugs and vile atrocities.

That should be the tag line of every Bebop and Rocksteady mini-series.

Spoiler:
Okay...this was easily the funniest issue of the whole mini.

Savanti Romero waxes dramatically through the whole thing and every response from Bebop and Rocksteady was basically "lol, this guy". Reminds me of most interactions between Professor Farnsworth and Fry.

Bebop smashes a 80th dimension spaceship into the helicopter the woman chasing him is dangling from and he says "Don't worry, I'm okay" to her.

He gets his mohawk cut off by said helicopter blades later.

Everything going on with the costuming of both these characters

Eventually it gets to the point that Savanti starts calling Lord Discordance "Disco-Dance" after Bebop and Rocksteady misinterpret it through their sheer dumbness.

Anchovy continues to "Clever Girl" people.

And finally they escape with the main freakin' time ship

Okay I did not expect this whole issue to basically consist of one aerial firefight over Houston traffic but man, that was pretty good

This miniseries is shaping up to be one of IDW's best. I'm so glad I went back and reread B&RDE again earlier this week

So if I'm reading that right...
Spoiler:

Savanti is responsible for their demutation problems? It's not the mutagen wearing off or anything related to human/animal mutant hybrids?

Not what I was expecting, but perfectly believable.

Funny issue. I guess Savanti is a chump if this is the last we see of him.

He's always been a chump.

The thing is the summaries made it seem like Savanti was the main villain of this mini, if he doesn't appear after this issue I guess it was just a minor side-adventure.

Looks like this time we will get a literal "monster of the week", with the final boss (Ravenwood & EPF) hanging in background.

As of now we have:
• 1st issue - Wingnut & Screwloose
• 2nd issue - Xiang & Ghost Boys
• 3rd issue - Savanti Romero & Time Masters

Alright, so there's two things here.
  1. Does anyone else think it's strange that Renet isn't the only one from the 79th Dimension talking like a valley girl? Here it seems like most of them do.
  2. You weren't really meant to pay attention to the confusing time travel rules, it was mostly just used for comedic purposes, so does anyone know why Bebop and Rocksteady aren't technically native to this timeline?

Maybe not. I think Ravenwood & EPF will be "monster of the week" in 4 issue.

Official synopsis:

4: Bebop and Rocksteady's trail of destruction has got them a lot of attention... including from the government who's sending an army to stop them!

5: Bebop and Rocksteady's road trip reaches its crazed conclusion as old enemies from their trip catch up and a brand new unbeatable foe stands between them and their home!

Or Ravenwood will stand alone against Bebop and Rocksteady in 5 issue.

I'm assuming the Time Masters have gotten so used to seeing mutant warthogs and rhinos everywhere, they didn't ACTUALLY check their temporal signature or whatever.

An easy mistake to make... who knew two of the mutants actually belong somewhere?
