Have any of you seen these before?
I came across these figures in a toystore in the north of Spain. No idea what they are. They all seem to have weird shapes at the bottom of their feet (clearly visible on the Raph figure) so my first guess was that they came from some boardgame or something and that the toystore opened a bunch of 'em up to sell the figures seperately. That is SO Spain. Anyway, out of curiosity I decided to buy a Metalhead. To my surprise it came with a trading card (apparently stored behind the counter). Here are pictures of the inch-and-a-half figure and both sides of the trading card. Apparently the figures are made by Giochi Preziosi. My best guess is that the figures were originally sold in surprise bags. That is SO Giochi Preziosi! Haven't found a trace of them on the Net though... And I still have no clue what the funky shapes at the bottom of the feet are... Can anyone shed any light on these mysterious figures? |

They are the blind bag figures found in Europe. The holes are so they can be attached to building blocks like Lego.

AHA. Mystery solved. Thanks Raph!
Weird that I couldn't find any info about these blind bags on the Net. Also, for an European exclusive, they seem to be very poorly distributed in Europe. On our holiday we went to a dozen toy stores in both France and Spain. Never seen them in Belgium either. Only that one Spanish store sold these opened up figures. Also, I take it that the blind bags come with a pack of trading cards inside. Not just one character card. They probably just gave me a Metalhead card to go with my Metalhead figure. Anyway, I wish I'd bought a couple more of them. They're kinda cool. Had no idea they would turn out to be so hard to find... |

Not sure if these have been posted yet. Walmart for 13.97. Pretty cool Fred wolf versions.

I saw three bags of Pop Secret popcorn at my local grocery store. It really surprised me too! They're in already popped popcorn bags like in the chip aisle. They were in the style of the Nickelodeon show and they had: Leo - Homestyle Butter, Mikey - White Cheddar, and Raph - Kettle Corn. I didn't see Donnie and I don't think they make a flavor with him sadly. But I thought that was pretty cool and out of nowhere.

Hey everyone, this is my first post on this forum.
I'm going to university next month so in 2 weeks I will be living on my own for the first time. I found this in a shop and just had to get it to make my new flat feel more like home. They only had Mikey so I don't know if they even make ones for the other three turtles. Also I don't quite understand those Homer Simpson-esque black lines on the top of his head. I think it's still cool though. |

Hey man, welcome to the forums! And I'm pretty sure that those black lines on his head are meant to be shading of some sort...a lot of the 2D art has that for some reason.

Found the popcorn bags at Walmart, they were on a cardboard display towards the front of the store...looks like they really don't make Donnie unfortunately I didn't buy any because for some reason, I always get a terrible, terrible stomach ache after eating popcorn.
My Walmart also has a claw machine, and they had the Leo, Don and Raph heads in there. I tried twice for Don and the claw went around him perfectly both times, but he's just too heavy. Also saw a Mikey head at TRU, but had the same problem trying to win him I do have Raph though, my sister got him as a prize for me at some carnival or fair that she was at. Hopefully I'll be able to win the other three soon. |

My wallet...the signatures are worn out, now. I'm not a fan of collecting signatures. I, just, got it signed because I thought the line was for purchasing art prints and that's all I had that was Ninja Turtle related, for some of the illustrators and produces, to sign.
