When something you've been watching eBay for and checking almost daily for a year or more, and hoping for a decent price, because it's virtually nonexistent elsewhere other than always the same couple of listings with crazy prices, and it FINALLY shows up... annnd it's listed as a bid with 9 days left. Of course. Will be a miracle if patience actually pays off on this and no one else fights me for it. And it ends at an hour I'm at work. Watching that long and probably screwed, dammit.

I spoke to my therapist a few days ago and she is recommending that I try using strategies to help me not to fall into traps that make me relive stressful moments. I have been doing that quite a bit lately. I also shouldn't be making too many predictions about the future. My next appointment with her is in two weeks and I'm hoping her advice will continue to make me feel like myself again.

Speaking as someone who has been through my own stuff when I was younger, I know a lot of that inner 'self' work to get through some of these things can take a good deal of work and time, but people can come out of it learning how strong they really are when they're willing to focus on that and do it. Keep summoning that inner [Turtle] power.

edit: I see you're among our Texas members, hope things have been okay on that front with that mess of cold and winter weather.

Doubting that it's Robbie Rist and if not, someone in that current Bat-Tech Batman toy commercial at least sounds a lot like his Michelangelo for a second. Catches my ear every time I come across it.

Well, the snow went away pretty much as quickly as it came. It was WARM today.

Lucky. But I guess your state kind of deserves a warmup after all that.

Meanwhile, it's a cold, wet, slushy, sloppy mess for us this day. This winter needs to hurry up be done with it.

I don't even remember topica. shows how old that is.

wonder if the wayback machine covered it?

Trying to downsize my digital home movie collection. started with 1500 files. widdled it down to 1100 so far. anything too short to bother with is gone. anything too blurry is gone. anything too jumpy is gone. feels like it's going to take forever to go through it. lots of nature and weather related videos too. trying to capture a good lightning strike.

Wonder what the most expensive thing on eBay is at any given time.

Had been looking for cheap fake diamonds to use in a excavation dig thing I want to make for my nephew (already ordered some real bits of cheaper crystals and mineral stones for him to collect from it), and then decided to 'window shop' the most expensive real ones. Seems the most costly of those on there right now is a $12 million uncut diamond from Thailand , I think around 64 ct and pretty much the same colors of the soda bottle shaped Haribo cola gummy candy.

But is there anything on there higher than $12 million?

2/19 -- Bonus eBay. Because why wouldn't you use a picture of carrots? Seriously, how does this happen, is it a bot used to make the listings? lol

I think it's weird that grown-ups say they're "dating". That's what high school kids do.

When you're a grown-up, you're supposed to say "So yeah, we went out for fried chicken and then I butt-slammed her." That's it, that's all.

Act your age, people.

When a black sky shark, I mean, helicopter is "stalking" the area for hours, leaving people wonder what the heck it's up to. (Apparently, inspecting the power lines along the train tracks.)

Also, Sky Shark needs to be a brand of helicopter.

I feel like a bot wrote that and decided that "bike" was too common of a choice. lol

5/1 -- Saw this He-Man vaccine shirt and now I'm a little envious and want an equally clever TMNT one. lol

If you take the "Facts of Life" theme song and change the words "Facts of Life" to "Crack Ho Life", not only does the song still make sense, it arguably makes MORE sense.

You're welcome.

Maybe the lady whose condiment bottles I ended up with might learn not to start throwing her damn stuff up there at the checkout so soon and too close to mine.

I stopped the cashier when she tried to give me the woman's soda (after scanning it), but guess I missed those bottles. Just Dollar Tree, so not a big deal and I guess we can find use for them eventually, though in the confusion I ended up short on one of those big lollypops I was getting (along with 3 others) to add to a birthday gift bag. Annoyed... Damn her behind me. I hope she gets home and is confused about how her bottles magically vanished then learns not to be so careless. lol

6/3 -- This forum supposedly has 11,778 members/accounts and NO birthdays today? It looks strange not seeing the cake and one or more names. lol

I kinda don't trust anyone who doesn't wanna smash genitals with Sara Underwood.

No gay guy is that gay, and no straight chick is that straight.

When you blank on the spelling of "cologne" and google it and the definition just to make sure you have it right... and it comes back with:

noun
eau de cologne or scented toilet water.

What the heck Oxford, that does not at all describe in English what a cologne IS.

I don't quite understand, do you mean how many children it is possible for one women to bear?

Sort of.

I mean, I just wonder what sort of limits there are.

Well... age or uterine prolapse.

Knew of a woman who supposedly had a bit of that prolapse happening after three kids. (Three boys and had to give up on trying to add a girl.) Then of course you have those crazy people who go and have a dozen... Really depends on the individual body.
