I feel amazing right now.
At kmart , I found a clone wars Obi wan I didn't have in the clearance aisle. It's been there for about two years. So I called a worker over and asked how much it would be. It came out 90 cents. I went to the checkout and it kept coming up as a penny. They gave it to me for free. |

While on a trip to see my family, I stumbled across this guy in a display case at a comic shop. I'd just been looking at him on eBay, and wasn't stoked about the prices. I've been building my DC Universe collection over the last few years, getting my favorite characters. After getting into Earth 2, and Justice League Dark, I wanted to snag something for both series. So, after Constantine, this was the best option for Dr. Fate. For a character thats been around for ages, he has very few figures, a total of 4 or 5, I believe. I love Cook's style from New Frontier, so this was perfect. And it wasn't as obscene as eBay prices. |

Diamond Select Thanos
AWESOME awesome figure, really great to have now that Cosmic Marvel is starting to get huge. Gonna go great with my Guardians of the Galaxy figs. I need to get Diamond Select Silver Surfer to go with. I'm not huge into Marvel/Diamond Select figures except for the really big figs (Hulk/Juggernaut/Thanos/a few others), the human-sized figures usually disappoint me compared to Marvel Legends which IMO just look nicer most of the time. But it's nice to have both series, because some figs are better in one series than the other, so you can pick the best of both worlds. Not sure if we'll get a new Marvel Legends Thanos in the coming years but it will be really hard for them to top this. |

I love the huge figures, for sure. But some of the figures they do make of normal sized guys are great. The Gambit (both sculpts), and Flash Thompson Venom are fantastic.

The Madness Venom is pretty sick. Ultron is a great figure. Silver Surfer is pretty good too and he fits SO good with the Marvel Legends Terrax BAF. I've had Thanos for a long time but I have yet to open him. I don't think mine has that red glow around his eyes though. That looks awesome as hell. I'll have to check mine when I get home. |

Well, Thanos is fantastic only complaint is the ball joins at his shoulders aren't as tight as I'd like... I an get him to stay in most poses but they do fall sometimes. But the sculpt, size of the figure and just overall look is really great. 100% worth the $19 i a paid.
So now I have 3 selects... Thanos, Silver Surfer and Green Hulk (comics version, not ruffalo, though I kinda like that one too). I think they are all great. I will probably buy more, but I'm only interested in characters I can't get ML versions of for the most part. Also their larger scale than ML kinda bugs me... for some figs like Thanos and Hulk it's fine, for others it makes it hard to mix the series together. Yup... the one you sent arrived today, which makes the #3 LOL... well, i have a small army guess i'm good with that. |

My Gatchaman/G-Force kick has yet to cease.
I got a bit of play money from some commissions, so I won an auction for some Diamond Select G-Force figures. It included the Toyfare Exclusive Princess, Keyop, Mark, Mark without his helmet, and the Wizard World Jason with the pearlescent paint. The only figure from the series I'm missing that I have any interest in is Tiny, which, if anyone has any leads on...let me know! |
