The sooner the better. I never understood why someone who has so little comic experience get an overall editor job get promoted to the number two spot and someone doing a fine job like Paul Levitz asked to leave and he gets to share the top spot? He is 60. How much long must we suffer until he retires? He has it out for Dick and Barbara and won't let them end up together. I understand Bruce marrying and retiring the cowl, but Dick would continue his vigilantism in marriage.

It's never been the same since the Carlin/Dooley Era. I don't think it ever will be.

When DiDio is gone, there's a strong change Geoff Johns will get bumped upstairs. And we all know that's not gonna make every single person happy, either. Some people will be fine with it, but you already know some people are gonna go into that whole situation with their dukes up, just based on what they think of him now. They'll just be mad for different reasons.

I mean, it's always a mix of good and bad. I started looking at comics around 1985 (mostly having them read to me at that point); since then, no matter who's in charge, there's been a constant mix of some of the absolute greatest stuff ever written, and some of the f*cking dirt-worst. Sometimes at the exact same time.

I agree that DiDio's made some awful decisions and some of the stuff they've done is outright lousy. But they've done some great stuff, too, and he wasn't the first guy to goof up a lot. I feel like always blaming just the guy up top is a bit unfair.

My problem with Dan is two things. One is personal preferences, with exception of Hal Jordan characters I love Dan hates with not explaination, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon,Wally West. The other reason is he had less than a year in the comic industry and becomes an executive editor. He has done a few writting jobs and gsts nothing but truckloads of complaints about garbage writting. I feel like one should earn executive roles through successes in business. That is how Jim Lee and Geoff Johns got them. In my profession it would be like a second career of teaching and the teacher is promoted to assistant principal. After a few years of success then department chair if no more seasoned options want the job or in his case group editor. Not what he got. Also, why was Levitz forced out? He was respectful to his audience and a seasoned veteran who worked and earned his way up. I like Johns writting of Hal Jordan, Wally West and Infinite Crisis as well as the Crisis of Conscience arc in the JLA volume. I also like Lee's art. Even if I did not like their work they worked their way up. Dan did not and I look forward to his exit. I thought he would have been given a parachhute long ago.

I wasn't in the room, but I've heard it told that Levitz was simply unfortunate enough to be in charge during a down period in the business. If there's not a lot of money coming in, it really doesn't matter how nice a guy you are. Again, I can't say for certain but that's one story I've heard.

As for "Why DiDio?", I wasn't around for that conversation, either. I'd never even heard of him when he ended up in charge. What I can't stand is, he talks out both sides of his mouth. Whenever you see him speak on one of those mini-docs on one of the animated movies, or a DVD Special Features clip or whatever, he actually sounds like he understands the characters and knows what he's talking about. But then he says things like "52 was terrible... I don't know why 'Countdown' wasn't more popular" (WHAT?! ), or makes terrible executive decisions that go directly against the stuff he says when there's a camera in his face.

That's what pisses me off. The things he says in public demonstrate that he DOES understand the characters, and the fans, and he knows what they want to see. He THEN turns around and does, in most cases, the exact opposite of those things, in order to ensnare the elusive "new reader", or get DC into the newspapers by way of shock value. Time and again, he gambles with the affection of the hardcore audience in order to lure in the dreaded "casual fan", and then acts completely shocked when they get bored after 4 months like they always do. "Well, we can always just reboot..."

Oh what a surprise, editorial decided to cut off Green Arrow's writers before they could put together a decent run because it was interfering with their latest Crisis event

Why would Superman reveal his identity to Amanda Waller? What sense in the plotbwould call forbsuch a thing? This leads to Supermsn working with the government?

Yoooooo, what the F*CK is up with that scene of Jon trying to "check out" his MOM?!

God dammit, Bendis.

Someone must have watched Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure while under the influence before writing the script for the issue.

I am surprised Leslie Thompkins was killed off. She never was a major player and even had the out of character moment with Stephanie Brown, but being Bruce's maternal figure is important.

At least Missy was only Bill and Ted's STEP-Mom. Good gravy.

Between Jon trying to sneak a peek at Lois, and the "drawer situation" from one of his first issues when the kid was getting ready to go off with Jor-El... I can say I'm not a fan of how Bendis seems to write Jon as a bit of a little perv. I've barely read any Superman books since New 52 but I'm aware a lot of people like Jon as a character, so I'm guessing that he's generally NOT written that way.

So far Bendis, to me, comes off a lot like every other Marvel writer: They think they're cute, hip, and funny, but they're really not, and it comes out painful.

Its been years since I have seen the film, but I thought she was Ted's mother opposed to step. Still creepy though. I thought Miller lost it. Bendis does not know how to write elementary school kids. Imagine him writing Captain Marvel/Shazam imaging his sister in an inapropriate manner. The horror!

No, remember, in the first one Ted talked about both "Remember when she was a Senior and we were Freshmen?", along with, "Remember when I asked her to the Prom?" And then in the second one, he said to Bill, "I can't believe Missy divorced your Dad... and married mine!"

C'mon, guy, those movies are like scripture. Sounds like you been livin' wrong.

It was an early Netflix rental from the summer of 2010. I never saw the sequel Bogus Adventure as the first was "meh". I remember being creeped out by the scene.

So how long until we get the real Wally West back?

I'm seriously tempted to have you never speak to me again. Wow.

Since we've always gotten along fine up to this point, I'll let it slide, but you're on thin ice, mister.

Ah, the master of sarcasm. Remember I once held a guy for Kevin Nash to pummel in one of his earliest events in TNA so I'm legit.

Also, you never did get back to me about that Hogan centric PM from weeks back.

Where is DC taking the Hawks? So Hawkman as he appeared in Justice League is this New 52 Hawkman not Hawkman of Earth-0?

I've been laid up for a few weeks, I've barely paid attention to anything.

As for Hawkman, my guess is they don't know.
