A guy pointing a gun. Not sleeping like a coward. What's so ironic about it?

There’s nothing cowardly about keeping a gun close by while you sleep. No matter how “safe” your neighborhood may be, anything could happen, including break-ins; I should know. Are people who install security systems in their homes or lock their doors at night cowards?

When you live on Sesame Street, yes.

Your timing and word placement is impeccable, sir. I really enjoy this year's new "No F*cks Left To Give" Turo model. Very slick.

Yeah, well, Sesame Street isn’t even kid-friendly anymore.

Who, Bert and Ernie? Nah. They’re cool.

I’m talking about Billy Porter. He’s as suspicious as McFeely in Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Oh my god, really? I stopped watching Sesame Street when I was 5. Maybe I should start watching it again.

Pretty much. Oh yeah, super cowardly of someone being able to pop up at a moment's notice at 3 AM to defend their family.

The crux of the fun we are having is that the person being ribbed does not exactly live in "the hood", but in fact one of the most docile places in the entire United States... yet at least once per day feels bizarrely compelled to brag about being strapped like Rambo at all times.

While it's true that it's better to have something and not need it rather than need it and not have it... Seeing as how Turo lives not in pleasant, rural Maine but rather Chicago, I can totally understand why he would want to have some good-natured fun with such a person who wants nothing more than an excuse to fire that thing but meanwhile lives someplace where they're more likely to be "attacked at 3am" by a bowl of clam chowder than a violent intruder. Thus, the "Sesame Street" analogy.

It was funny, lighten up.

I don't live in "rural" Maine... I'm in a city full of illegals, democrats and other criminals. But I repeat myself. Maine is safer because of Constitutional Carry but that doesn't mean I'm going to just not carry... Turo isn't allowed to carry in 20 people die every weekend Sh!thole Chicago.... Couldn't pay me to go near that hell hole. And I've been attacked before, not at home, but still and the firearm on my hip saved my bacon. I know my limits & firearms are a great equalizer.

Yeah, that's not f*cking true and of course you wouldn't survive here. The worst you got over there is Oscar the Grouch.

Dude, I'm not an idiot. I wouldn't **GO** there. I'm not inbred. I avoid dangerous cities and all gun free zones.

And its probably more than 20 people every weekend. I was being conservative... lol.

Well yeah, cowards are typically afraid of existing outside of their safe space.

All the crackheads from New York City are migrating down here and causing problems for us, so yeah we have to unfortunately add more security to our homes and places of business. Up until a couple of years ago, our town was fairly safe; it was never perfect, but it wasn’t as bad as it is now.

We’ve actually had a hostage situation at our family restaurant. It happened on Sunday during church brunch. Some bald-headed guy locked himself up in the ladies’ room, along with a mother and her young daughter. He was high on something and claimed to have had a gun on him. Over ten cops came bursting in minutes later and fortunately they were able to talk him out of doing something crazy. Also he lied about the gun. Before the cops showed up, my cousin, who is also the owner, had his gun drawn out and was ready to shoot the guy the minute he stepped out of the bathroom.

I may not live in Chicago, but I deal with the same dangerous scumbags, and that’s why I am for carrying a gun at all times.
