It's getting expensive, yes, but it's just too many figures for me (I'm all in on 1990 and SOTO) and I'm not going to 100% the toon line. I decided to only collect toon figures from the first 5 episodes in 1987 (S1). Everything else is being sold/traded and future releases are much easier to buy or pass.
There really is anything that we have to have now in the toon line. All the popular characters have been done.

I am mostly complete on the toon line, but not 100%. For example I passed on the style guide turtles sitting on the shelf at Target, and had no interest in Bunny or Supehero Rocksteady and Bebop.

I still love the look and style, and there's still some figures -- and even vehicles -- they can do from the show, if they chose to. The "what-if" possibilities are near limitless as well.

That said, we're already seeing focus shift a bit away from the toon line into the other lines. That's to be expected given how lush the toon line has become with offerings.

I’m feeling confident that space Usagi will be available on the 29th as part of the target geekout event.

I know there's no real way to know for sure, but with Cat's Lair selling about 4200 pieces, do we think NECA managed to move more or less of the Sewer Lair?

I'd guess less. The Cat's Lair had a pretty favorable reception when it was revealed and the price was known from the get-go. I think that helped a lot since it didn't give people a year to make assumptions and set budgets, only to have them all smashed. This was a rare example of Super7 doing a better job than NECA.

Don't forget to factor in that for every 1-2 people who didn't buy one there might have been another person who bought 3!

You think the ratio on that would be that high? I would've guessed for every 33 who bought one maybe one bought 3. Maybe less. Hm....

The way things are looking I’ll have to leave this geekathon alone and see what shows up at the store. Gotta have two more there pulled and when going to the dentist, my truck died in the parking lot gotta jump but don’t know if it’s the battery or alternator. So moneys gotta go for that.
