Looks like the show will be coming to Netflix (YTV are said to be carrying it in Canada)

I always thought Reboot was a gimmicky show driven primarily by the novelty of CGI and the emergence of anything "digital" into the mainstream consciousness. Some of the characters and episodes were interesting, of course, but I guess we'll see how well the whole idea translates into a contemporary context where everything that used to be "cutting edge" is now common place.

ReBoot was gimmicky for the first season and part of the second.
After that censors stopped pushing creators and they have started telling a good story. Also, when later seasons of ReBoot were aired there were plenty of other CGI series, some of them even from ReBoot creators themselves. So, no, while its initial popularity was due to the CGI, later it was popular because of interesting story and characters. |

She doesn't look very different from herself in the old series. And it's her old costume from before the events of the Season 2.
Spoiler:
Hm, this is strange. Wasn't this ReBoot was supposed to not reboot, but a continuation of the old series? |

Here is video (warning, this is apparently taken from the closing minutes of the season finale) https://www.rebootrevival.com/?p=2490 |

Megabyte with the brand new design, Hex with the her "classic" design, what's going on?
And I didn't expect them to be on talking terms, unless people behind series retconned the heck out of the past seasons. I hope there is some explanation for it. Graphics look like...hm...it looks like a ReBoot all right, just I thought it will be a bit more "modern" for the lack of better term. |

Looks as expected. I.e. not good. They had seriously screwed MegaByte design. Not to mention CGI graphics somehow looks cheaper than the last season of the original series. |

I like the live-action portions...then again, I'm a Power Rangers fan so this kind of corn-ball stuff is right up my street.
CGI looks a mess though. |

What....how in 2018, you can make those characters look WORSE, than in 1994!?
It's a special kind of awful. |

Watching the first two episodes right now...I'm actually enjoying it. First episode was a bit rushed, but the actors (aside from VERA) are pretty good, better than the current crop of Power Rangers actors we have

Seen more of the episodes now...I've gone from enjoying it, to just about tolerating it. VERA is a terrible character, and does not improve. Many of the plots suffer from the status quo being maintained throughout with only shreds of progression, there are sod all consequences...and anyone hoping the return of the classic characters will redeem the show for at least one episode will be dissapointed as it's very much a "Turtles Forever" scenario.
As a Reboot revival, it misses the point, but as a Power Rangers-style series, it's better than Ninja Steel |

Watched ReBoot marathon on Twitch, which killed any desire to touch new series.
Maybe I watch it someday, but not soon, I think. |
