Come to think of it the beginning of Volume 4 had them get an armored truck they were going to use but PL abandoned the idea or didn't do anything with it.

In hindsight, the armored truck seems very odd. Blatant Gucci promotions are much more Pete's style.

The idea of Peter Laird rocking Gucci on his Segway has made my day lol.
I assume you meant Moto Guzzi though. |

I do like Segways, though... every time I watch Iron Man 1 and see Evil Obadiah Stane rolling along on his Evil Iron Monger Segway, I nearly give myself a hernia laughing.

I know technically every incarnation of tmnt takes from mirage but I really wish this one would more...particularly later stuff that's more unique to mirage. Like the survivalists and river arcs and radical

There's not much for IDW to take from the Mirage solo issues, most of those were one-off human enemies or bizarre aliens/monsters.

Neither of those stories would fit in very well in New York, and I don't see the guys heading to the country anytime soon. And I've never understood why people like Radical, or the Justice Force, or any of the Mirage "supers." Ugh. Give 'em all capes and tell them to ignore Edna Mole's advice.

In mirage they spent way more time in North Hampton and went back and forth regularly. Survivalists would work if they did that more, hell I'm sure the writers could think of a reason to have the turtles go upstate. Have you guys ever been 30 minutes North of Manhattan? Survivalists is super relevant today! There's a lot of real life groups like that especially in upstate NY.
As for radical..I would have said the mutanimals would never work in idw before they were totally reimagined. The same could be done for radical.

Agreed. Too much Fred Wolf/Playmates stuff. Needs more Mirage.

That would not be well received by indigenous people. That's a little too much like those really ethnic minor characters from super friends.

Would it be safe to say that the Turtles going back to Feudal Japan in The Turtles in Time Mini is based on TMNT III? I know the original TIT game came first, but I don't recall there being a Feudal Japan level.
Or would it technically be a Mirage #17 reference?

Mirage #46-47 came out before TMNT III; that's where the "Turtles time travel to Feudal Japan" first came about. An excellent little two-parter.

Possibly Mirage #47, It's a time travel story that features Renet, an element both TMNT III and TiT game lack.
