I wonder if GS will order enough of these

I went for the Leo/Batman......I am on the fence about these, but I have a few months to cancel if need be. I have yet to see the movie or read the comics.

Is it just me or does Shredder look "fat"? A shame since I loved his design in the movie but it's a pass.

I want to get one of the turtles just to see what a mattel TMNT line would be like but man forgot how bad the character designs are.

It's DC Collectibles not Mattel

This line looks spectacular. I'm still on the fence because I really don't need any of the Batman characters, buy I'd hate to miss out on the Turtles.

Need to out my preorder on these. Love the whole line, comic and movie were great. I really hope they make the other series into movies as well. Series 2 was amazing, would be crazy to get that on a figure line with Bane

I finally caved and preordered a Raph/Robin combo. Haven't seen the movie, I'm guessing Raph & Donnie's alt heads are significant from the plot? For some reason I really like the look of Raphael in a helmet, made the figure unique enough to pull the trigger on it. Not wild about Robin by any means though so if any people want to buy just him off me let me know. (On the TMNT forum? Yeah, didn't think so.)

I ended up canceling my order for this at The Mighty Hobby since they were taking forever to get theirs in stock and shipped....and bought one in store at Gamestop. It's pretty cool and I'll probably get the 2 Packs.

I might support this entire line when it comes out - that cartoon was one of the coolest animated flicks I've seen since the Turtles Forever cartoon, which I couldn't believe at the time was pulled off so well...

I imagine Michelangelo as Batman is a great collectible for children of the very late 80s and early 90s who are adults today. Still, I have one question. Aren’t the turtles supposed to be parodies of comic book heroes of the early 80s? How does Michelangelo who belongs to a parody comic book universe become Batman? That’s odd to me.

Wouldn’t the ultimate collectibles for the children of the 80s and 90s be a Kenner The Dark Knight Collection or Toy Biz ‘89 Batman figure and ‘88 Playmates Toys soft head Michelangelo?

You'd have to watch the Batman/Ninja Turtles animated movie, which is why this figure was made. It's just a fun crossover that wouldn't have been possible back then for a myriad of cultural reasons of the time whereas organizations are more open to this kind of stuff nowadays. Try not to over think it & it will be less of an oddity to you.

They are developing an entire figure line from this animated movie...

No, not really. Those examples are far from "ultimate collectibles" of the era. As for TMNT, the soft-head Turtles are desirable if you are a TMNT collector for the same reasons that the Playmates 1st-Run-Shipped Star Trek figures are for Star Trek collectors. They are just more discerning pieces amidst a sea of generally available, over-produced toys.

I went to finish paying off both the leo/batman and robin/raph set on Wednesday and was told they closed the preorders. So if you didnt preorder and want these good luck hunting them down. I think many havent seen the movie yet and dont understand this crossover or even the comic series.

I remember pixel Dan's interview with the guy from DC and he said they wanted to do the mutant/dc villains which would be amazing to get a Joker/Harley set!!!

Now if they turn the second and third comic series into movie damn my wallet will not forgive me!!! Series 2 with Bane, Bane foot soilders, Bane Donnie, Bane bebop and rocksteady, those will be huge dope figure to collect.

Series 3 which isnt finished yet but there are even crazy figures that would be a must have.
