My great uncle voiced Pongo in the One Hundred and One Dalmations

So it just happens that out my great uncle was the voice of Pongo (Rod Taylor). I never thought I would have someone like him be in my family. It's a shame that I didn't know who he was until after his death but because I myself, am an aspiring actor and trying to get to Hollywood one day, I think this just gave me the boost I need.

I want to know, anyone here a fan of Rod himself or the movie?

Awesome! I love 101 Dalmatians, it's a classic.

101 Dalmations was the first movie I ever watched. It was "Doggy movie" for some time. I still have a Dalmatian toy I got for Christmas around that time. And used to have so, so many McDonalds toys.

So it holds a special place in my heart. Now it's even more special; Tibbs is best cat. He was going to save all those puppies, even if it meant he had to die trying to do so. What a trooper.

It's so cool that you have this in your family history. How did you learn?

His voice-acting in that film was perfect. That has always been one of my favorite animated movies for years.

I can’t really recall how I found out but I do remember the day it happened. Coincidentally, I was coming home from a film shoot that day that I was an extra in. He has really inspired me to become an actor. It’s tough to get to Hollywood but who know, if he got there, I KNOW I can get there one day. Who knows, if I’m rich enough, I’ll make a GOOD TMNT reboot film.
