If that were true, then I would have expected better from her.

I just hope that this incident doesn't negatively impact the #metoo movement and irreparably ruin the it's reputation.

It's reputation is somewhat ruined already due to quite a lot of people saying that something that had started as an effort to weed out harassers in power, slowly turning into witch hunt, where people could be persecuted without prove for something that they haven't done.
