The picture books?

Picked up an interesting hardback today, collected picture books based on the 4Kids toon published by Simon Spotlight (Simon & Schuster). 180+ story pages with writing credits to Steve Murphy and beautiful illustrations courtesy of Patrick Spaziante!

As you can tell from the back cover, the hardback collects 7 out of 8 paperbacks. I own a couple of those paperbacks (#1-2), and I'm aware that Simon & Schuster even published multiple series of books based off the show (novels and a Ready-to-Read series) , but can anyone identify which book is missing from this collection? It would have been #4 in the series, between "Friends Till the End" and "Mean, Green, Smackdown Machine."

Woah, thanks a bunch, Powder! I am very curious as to why it was excluded? Maybe they thought Halloween would be too seasonal or perhaps even some controversial content or legal dispute?

The Mirage book it was based on is now controversial, apparently, so that's my guess too.

Yeah, I know "All Hallows Thieves" has its religiously objectionable content, but the cover makes it look like it could be an original story, considering the costumes of April and Casey.

And... it looks like there was also a ninth book in the series, "Super Slam Turtles," so maybe even more?

Smackdown Machine is great because it introduces Hun's other brother, "Ahnold".

I think that's just Mr. Arboost from The Golden Puck. Remember, that was called 'Super Slam Hockey' that the puck was a trophy for.

EDIT: Not Arboost himself, but one of his cronies.

That sort of adaptation was my guess as well.

I've continuously skipped over that one. Outta sight, outta mind. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm almost 100% certain that I've got at least one of those in the house somewhere. It would've been my step-son's from when he was little.
