I was just thinking, since Mako has passed away and a new Splinter will be needed for the sequel, why not just get Kevin Clash? I mean, think about it, his popularity is there (Elmo) but he was the orginal Splinter. I doubt he'd charge a lot of money. It'd be perfect. I can't think of anyone else doing the voice.

Also, I didn't even notice Raph's shell scar...looks painful (can't wait to see how he got it). I don't know why Raph has Leo's swords but apparently they broke? Have to look at the pictures one more time.

hey if you notice behind Mikey in this shot someone posted--you can see Splinter running full blast with the turtles! God I hope this means Splinter fights in the film.

Btw, since this movie is tied with the previous movies, isnt it kinda weird that:

1. Raph has no scar on his cheek
2. Splinters ear is whole
3. (small detail I noticed, the TMNT have no nails)
TMNT is loosely tied with the previous 3 movies ('loosely' being the key word). It's not a direct sequel. Man, why is everyone having so much trouble grasping that concept?

Because continuity is sacred.

^Yeah when you're making a sequel. I dunno about you, I but I thought it was made clear pretty early on that TMNT isn't a sequel (atleast not in the strictest sense). Haven't you ever heard of Superman Returns? Don't be ridiculous.

Easy, Kythring

most everyone gets this is not a direct sequel....we're just playing a fun game called "what references to the old movies can we spot". It's all in good fun. relax, have a mango Life is good

2. TGRI canister from TMNT 1 and 2
Nope, it's not the same canister as the second movie. Look closely and you'll see the yellow stripes on the can. Only the can in the first movie had those yellow stripes, the ones in the second movie didn't have them. Looks like they didn't have anything from the second movie to remember by.

I didn't even see that until now, I was looking at it with a darker monitor, and not enlarged it.
The only mask I saw was the samurai one, then. Okaaay. Now I think I know what you were referring to. Aaand... I think it's a Foot mask, but it looks to have a rather odd opening in the front.

So if that was a shuriken in Raph's shell, and later we see only half of that shuriken, does that mean the other half is still in Raph's shell?

I don't think so. It looks broken already in the pic where it's in Raph's shell. Based on where the actual picture of the shuriken appears in the whole set, my guess is that Don takes it with him to whose ever apartment that is, where he seems to be doing research.

Spoiler:
Don got a call at the lair from Raph and or Casey after they were attacked and he and the others meet at April's place to catch up and figure out what's going on.

It's almost an amalgum....because the one from the first movie didn't have TGRI on the canister either.

Its just a homage, they have similar history but not exactly the same. I mean we already know their lives are a bit different considering the cannister says T.C.R.I and the turtles in TMNT 3 never took any armor back with them.

Random comment: They seem to have textures down really well for this movie; the Turtles' skin and Splinter's fur look real, and Casey's face has a kind of rough look to it that looks cool. But have you noticed the Turtles' bandannas look kind of like plastic? It's almost like a TMNT toy or something. They really didn't make them look very cloth-y.
