I was just thinking, since Mako has passed away and a new Splinter will be needed for the sequel, why not just get Kevin Clash? I mean, think about it, his popularity is there (Elmo) but he was the orginal Splinter. I doubt he'd charge a lot of money. It'd be perfect. I can't think of anyone else doing the voice.
Also, I didn't even notice Raph's shell scar...looks painful (can't wait to see how he got it). I don't know why Raph has Leo's swords but apparently they broke? Have to look at the pictures one more time.

hey if you notice behind Mikey in this shot someone posted--you can see Splinter running full blast with the turtles! God I hope this means Splinter fights in the film.

^Yeah when you're making a sequel. I dunno about you, I but I thought it was made clear pretty early on that TMNT isn't a sequel (atleast not in the strictest sense). Haven't you ever heard of Superman Returns? Don't be ridiculous.

The only mask I saw was the samurai one, then. Okaaay. Now I think I know what you were referring to. Aaand... I think it's a Foot mask, but it looks to have a rather odd opening in the front.

So if that was a shuriken in Raph's shell, and later we see only half of that shuriken, does that mean the other half is still in Raph's shell?

I don't think so. It looks broken already in the pic where it's in Raph's shell. Based on where the actual picture of the shuriken appears in the whole set, my guess is that Don takes it with him to whose ever apartment that is, where he seems to be doing research.

Its just a homage, they have similar history but not exactly the same. I mean we already know their lives are a bit different considering the cannister says T.C.R.I and the turtles in TMNT 3 never took any armor back with them.

Random comment: They seem to have textures down really well for this movie; the Turtles' skin and Splinter's fur look real, and Casey's face has a kind of rough look to it that looks cool. But have you noticed the Turtles' bandannas look kind of like plastic? It's almost like a TMNT toy or something. They really didn't make them look very cloth-y.
