Splinter and his family was the cause of all of this! They killed my parents and then they raised me as their child. What i did was the right thing to do. Kill the son of the man who killed my parents and took his daughter to raise. That was my vengeace for what he and his family did to me. They were the bad guys not me.

I've come to terms with this new show, I think if I think of it as a "what do we do with this franchise to keep it fresh" type of show I can love it, no matter what changes they do.

Similar to The Next Mutation, this is "Rise of the TMNT" so it already has title that instills random reboot to keep relevant.

So, TMNT with magic powers? Cool, nice to see the turtles do something cool and weird in this spin-off.

Shredder not being the main villain? Fantastic, let's hope he's awesome!

Black April? Needless race change but the OT was guilty of this with Baxter Stockman so, this is this show's mistake (Or Baxter's secret daughter since real April was kidnapped see Season5 of RotTMNT)

Magical New York? Sure make the big apple as weird as you want.

Raph as leader? Absolutely not, horrible but the show can make up for it.

I'll be taking this show as I did all those weird 90s revivals to franchises , weird but unique in their own right.

I think I'm fairly hyped and will be able to accept pretty much anything at this point no matter how much fans hate it. Well as long as the writing is ok but I think that will be fine. I do think most will hate this show though.

Even if it were a good show on its own right, coming out of the fan loved 2012, it has a steep slope to get people's interest, this forum will soon be full of haters and i'll be here defending it

No, that's just speculation on my part but I'm almost completely sure of it based on the little info we have, they clearly want something very different.

With April being African America in this reboot, What are the chances that, Baxter Stockman is April's uncle?

If Nick TMNT can make Karai Splinter's Daughter, I wouldn't be surprise if Baxter Stockman's niece is April.

But that would make every black character related, they don't have to do that. There can be two, three, etc. black characters with no relation.

By that logic you can say the same thing for Karai in 2012.

April being related to Stockman gives a reason that makes sense for April to be black instead of just doing it because they misunderstand "adding diversity" and think it's the only way to do it. April already having a connection to Stockman in other continuities helps, it's also not like any of April's parents have ever been memorable.

I hope if they're going to have "mystic" powers they at least get cool tattoos or energy things radiating through their body like the artwork of Tournament Fighters or the Mystic Fury figures.

Nah, there's no confirmation of villains at all yet. I'm sure we'll get some eventually due to voice actor announcements.

sdp constantly thinking there is no Shredder is probably him trying to use meme magic to make something happen in reality...only I can do things like that. Where you repeat something over and over again and then you wind up believing what you say even if it doesn't actually exist.

If she is daughter of Stockman then both of them will work for me! It already happend in 2003 series but then she betrayed me and Stockman when she brought the turtles to destroy his lab. This time if she is his daughter she will not betray me again. And two mad scientists are better than one.

I'm ready for a more lighter hearted show after the mess that was the last series. I just hope it's more in the style of a david wise series of scripts rather than 'Menace Maestro Please' style of scripts.
