Do you think there's a place for superheroes with powers on the turtles' Earth?
The concept of superheroes in TMNT has been discussed. Do you think there's a place for superheroes with powers on the turtles' Earth? (except Michelangelo's comic magazines)
I'm not talking of other planets in the same universe, or alternate Earths. |

If they over shadow the turtles, no. Temporary powers to an individual or tech that gives them an advantage is different.

Nah, when it comes to abilities and powers I want to make the TMNT verse as grounded as possible with the exception of a few characters. I'm okay with vigilantes but I don't think the TMNT verse needs or should have a Superman expy

Every turtles universe has had superheroes w/powers except the live action movies (the 2007 film had a tie in storybook "Who's the nightwat with Silver Sentry)
I'm not a fan of superpowers on TMNT and that's why I only like Nobody who is a vigilante but it's as much part of the TMNT DNA as say space/time travel. |

Well, 2003 had them... Not my favorite episodes though. I prefer TMNT without the 'super,' be it them or those they know.

Hell no.
Especially in a universe where mutants are a unique phenomenon that has to live in the shadows. Superheroes would remove that particular need for one thing. Plus in these particular universes, various animals being mutated by aliens being careless with dangerous waste feels a little more "acceptable" than the various superheroes that have shown up across TMNT.

Of course, extraterrestrials when on Earth also do the best hiding from humans (Utroms in disguises, underground-based Technodrome). |

I said no, but ultimately I don't really have a problem with it.
I just prefer stories/incarnations where the turtles and Splinter are the only supernatural elements.

Given that it's extraterrestrial science we don't understand, I think supernatural works. But, I could be convinced to go with extra-natural in a pinch.

I don't mind either way but if they do either they take it seriously or go full parody, not both at the same time.

It feels like Michelangelo always must meet his favourite comic hero(s) and superhero(s).

No. Because every time there's some huge citywide or worldwide threat, it raises the question as to where the Justice Force and why don't they show up to clean up. It only kinda works in Mirage cause their superheroes are old and retired.

Everything else was smaller team-ups with them and the TMNT, or small-scale stuff they wouldn't know about. |

Also, shouldn't Bugman come to cleanup in "Landlord of the Flies"?

TBH I didn't like it in 2k3. Everytime Silver Sentry and company stepped into the scene, I skipped the episode.
I gave them a fair set of chances, but it got boring really soon. It needs to be handled properly. But in general, I'm not a fan. It's not that type of trope for me personally.

Bugman worked fine in the Original Cartoon in my opinion.
Not a fan of the Justice Force though.
