I just discovered this new TMNT podcast called "Turtle Tales Radio" and they did a review of issue 112. Its a great review of this comic and I agree with all of it.

Got a better idea, send Popeye to take care of those mutants, he will use his mighty strength to take advantage of those valuable hides, something like this.

Ninja Notes emphasized that there was not any particular big bad to focus on at the moment to give time to explore Mutant Town. Its fine if its for one arc, but this is a full calendar year and counting. I want to see the Turtles fight villains not generic human turn mutants argue politics. I am pretty sure that a majority agree.

'Hobble to victory' 'War torn and able to lead our unique kind into a new age of respect and triumph'.

One thing I don't understand is when the Turtles broke away from Splinter and called themselves the Hamato Clan then once Splinter sacrificed himself they refer to themselves as The Splinter Clan. Considering they are honoring Splinter by referencing the family name why not continue to use the name as a way of honoring him?

That's a weird take. Null would fit like a glove in everything that's going on, I like the idea someone brought up of her offering jobs to Mutant Town residents. So much that could be done, and yet here we are, treading water. At the very least, Stockman could be much more involved. He's a big bad too.

A campaign slogan fit for a genocidal hypocrite and warlord? "Yes We Can Mutate."

Yet another weird take, with a side of silly. Should've kept the Hamato Clan all the way. Much more respectful IMHO.

Meh, I'd probably vote for Baxter.

Technically, voting for Baxter is what got most of the Mutant Towners in this mess.

We already know the villains are Karai with Rahzar/Tokka, whatever Baxter is planning or any confrontations with Hob and the Mutanimals. Not sure what else people want.

It's obvious stuff like the Pantheon, Krang/Leatherhead or Ch'rell/Utroms are being saved for whenever Tom Waltz returns to the ongoing.

What people want to move past the Mutant Town centralized focus.

I am hoping Summer 2021 for those plots.

Hey, that was me! Or at least I was one person who brought up Null.

They seem like such a natural fit, but I try not to impose where I’d like the story to go in such cases. I do still think they pop up later, given that we saw them talking to Stockman earlier.

I don’t know, maybe Stockman is holding off on letting them get involved specifically because he fears how much power they might gain from the situation, or they just aren’t ready to unveil their mutant soldiers in a public capacity and risk revealing to the larger public just how long before the Mutant Bomb they’ve been messing with mutagen and mutants. Keep in mind, that was Null tech Hob used to for his bomb.

Sorry, I completely forgot who brought it up and was too lazy to go back and check. You do bring up an interesting point about Null possibly wanting to avoid any sticky situations that could arise from the Mutagen Bomb using her tech. She is a businesswoman first and foremost, after all.

But Null being all about mutants, if ever there was an organic point to introduce her back into the ongoing in some capacity, this is definitely it.

Pfft, don’t worry about it!

There could be a point where things get bad enough and Null gets to storm in a liberators restoring order.

BTW Tiger Claw, thank you for the podcast rec. They’re a little more unambiguously upbeat but I appreciated the fan talk that tries to dig a bit deeper and isn’t just complaining about the same few talking points.

I don't think they will. Much like Splinter taking over the Foot Clan and being at odds with the Turtles was the central focus of issues #51-100, I'm sure Mutant Town is the main draw of issues #101-150.

That's not to say every story will be about Mutant Town obviously, but I imagine most of the main plots will. Wouldn't be surprised if whenever they get back to Krang/Leatherhead and the Utroms/Triceratons it involves Mutant Town in some way.

Sophie if you're lurking in this thread, you may have answered this before, but what made you decide to make Klunk a white cat in this universe?

If I remember right it was Ronda's choice during the coloring stage. I don't think I specified what color he was and left it up to her.
