People are just figuring out that more product isn't always better product, like, right now? Little late in the game, don't ya think? Of course Disney's gonna run it into the ground until nobody wants to hear about "Star Wars" ever again. They're Disney, it's what they do. And I say that as a fan.
I predict a lot of the movies will be Good to Amazing, but at least a couple of them are definitely going to make people nostalgic for the Prequels. I mean that's just a statistical certainty. They're doing too much, it can't ALL be good. But I think most of it will be good enough to make the rest excusable.

Disney has narrowed down a shortlist of 8 actors that could play a young Han Solo for the Han Solo spinoff film.

PLEASE GOD NO, NONE OF THESE PEOPLE.
Just have Harrison Ford with CGI to make him look young. Hell, just have Harrison Ford. Literally no one would complain. Did they specify if Chewie's gonna be in it? |

That's a bunch of faces I've never seen alongside a bunch of names I don't recognize. Yup. Officially old.
Just from the looks of them though, Miles, Scott, and Blake are my favorites.

I'd be interested in a Han Solo movie but maybe years down the road, not now. I don't care about how they got the death star plans either, how about an original story that has nothing to do with the stuff we already know?
If it has to be a story of something we already know then I'm ok with an Obi-Wan movie with Ewan Mcgregor while he can still do it or a Darth Vader movie on how he hunted down Jedi while Earl Jones is still alive to do the voice. I prefer that than shoehorning Vader into new movies. Han Solo if it's not Harrison Ford then it can wait many years. I mean if we got Harrison Ford in the spin-off film taking place before Episode VII then that's more interesting to me. |

None of them really look like him at all that I can see. Ah well.

I'm, going to go with none of the above. DEFINITELY not Miles F'n Teller.
Did anyone watch the globes last night? Maybe it's just me, but, about 20 minutes in I was like "er...screw all these people?" Not sure what it was, from the self congratulatory Lady Gaga, to J'law's BS press rebuke, and including Tom Hanks insufferable admonishments of Denzel, I've lost all interest. The new crew of "stars" are nothing of the sort. I don't want a new GD Han Solo, at all. Let the new breed prove their worth; time for them to show that they can build a timeless character of their own. The coat-tail ride is over. |

We're going to hear the term "lovable rouge" in the media about 100,000 times before this movie is made.
I'm not taking a swing at Han Solo fans here, but it amuses me that when people of any notoriety discuss Star Wars in the media, the ones who say Han is their favorite character almost always say it's because he's a scoundrel. I suspect half of them don't know what scoundrel means.

I wish they would just stick to the episode movies, and not oversaturate us with all this un-needed crap. Harrison Ford is untouchable as Han Solo, nobody wants to sit through 2 hours + of some knock off.

I'm not even going to pick an actor. Because this movie shouldn't be made.
Disney is going to go all Marvel on Star Wars and I'm not happy with it. |

Episode 7-9 is all we need. They are just milking it for all the money they can get. Rather than leave Star wars with just the 9 episodes, your gonna end up getting loads of extra sh*t that no-one cares about, and that only are detrimental to the main movies.

I'm fine with SW movies that are outside the Episode I - IX. This is a huge universe now and I'd love to see stories on screen outside of the Skywalker saga. That said, I think origin stories are a terrible idea especially for a character like Han Solo. I don't think there is anyway this movie isn't going to be a mess.

Alden Ehrenreich is the frontrunner for Han Solo. I'm just glad it's not Miles Teller.

Anyone would better than Miles Teller.
Still not 100% sold on this idea, but we'll see once a trailer hits.
