Was anyone here at Dluxexpo? How did it go? Did you guys break the record? (We interviewed the guy who ran the whole expo, Adam Lux, a few months back on our podcast, so I'm really hoping everything went well. I'm going to contact him soon about how he thought it went, but from a fan perspective, how'd you think it went?)

Who knows? Nemec seems to answer every question like that. "Perhaps...perhaps not"

Fichtner said in an interview that Bebop and Rocksteady weren't in the film though.

How about someone ask him, in a nice and respectful way (doesn't have to be in a rude way) some of the other stuff people wonder about?

For example "who has more screen time, April/Vernon or the Turtles"? I think that could be answered without quote 'spoiling the film.'

At least it shouldn't be. Someone could easily ask that, bring up Transformers, but at the same time approach as if you're not attacking the guy.

That or ask stuff like 'does 1 turtle get more screen time than the others? Or do they all have equal screen time/importance?' Stuff like that. Again, that can be answered without truly spoiling the flick, correct?

I love Kevin, but of the two, he has always been the YES man - while Peter was more of the grounded "negative"

It drove me crazy that every other word was 'perhaps'...if he didn't or was not permitted to say something, then just say that. All this perhaps nonsense was just annoying.

If they're ever asked that and they dance around it without giving a concrete answer, we'll know exactly who has more screen time in this movie.

He could just as easily be talking about the Blue Door with both of these videos.

I'd like to take his word, because I've got all the respect in the world for what he created along with Peter Laird. The problem is, he's always seemed very lenient with changes to the TMNT universe. He never quite has his finger on the pulse on what fans of the franchise want, because he's too quick to promise that hardcore fans will like stuff that they'll obviously hate.

He's right that every incarnation has been changed somehow yet people only get mad at recent changes.

If the internet was around during the first 2 movies production and leaks and teasers were released I wonder if people would have been as quick to bash them.

Thats one thing Ive wondered about the internet and movies...now because we get alot of leaks and tidbits of news people over analyze things and it just turns into hate.

Back then we had to wait to see things for the first time yet we all ended up being fine with the changes. Of course being younger might have factored into being more open.

Then how come the Next Mutation is still pretty universally hated, but the Nickturtles cartoon is universally adored?

NM's writing and overall feel of the show was very dumb.

Nick isn't even a fair comparison. Its more serious and doesnt use use cheap looking costumes.

That makes no sense. You're pretty much saying it's not fair because in comparing something bad to something good, when your point was that we only consider the new stuff bad.

The only thing I do have to agree on a little bit with his post is how a lot treat Laird like hes the brains and the voice of reason, whilst Eastman is the sell-out whose word means nothing. I do have to say I get that vibe a lot around here. They are both incredibly talented artists, both with their own weaknesses and strengths.

I think Laird is often a bit overly picky, but I'd take his opinion over Eastman's any day. Eastman doesn't seem to think there's such a thing as a bad idea.
