So, what was the point of this scene at the end of #75 if Ma'riell was just going to find out about Krang's death off-page and, maybe more importantly, not seem to be upset with Kleve and Montuoro for keeping that information from her?

It felt to me like her gaining knowledge of the situation was going to be a big deal when it happened. But from the way she speaks of it, it's like she was indeed told right away and that conversation just never happened.
