"Dancing with Myself" by Billy Idol. I'm borrowing it from a library. It should keep me busy for a while.

What I read this week
-Amazing Spider-Man 17 An okay issue. Black Cat sucks and Slott didn't destroy The Ghost character-wise. Parker Industries is doomed to fail -Sinestro Corps Annual Very good. I'll be following this book when it returns in june. Only complaint is the current main team is too "human" for me. Sinestro Corps should be monsters. Atleast we got Arkillo. -Futures End 48 I'm so pissed off at this sh*t. I'm glad I never spent a cent on this cash grab. -Convergance 0 Someone who isn't Grant Morrison tries to do Grant Morrison. The end result is bad. -Avengers 43 I have no idea what's going on in this comic anymore -Kanan The Last Padawan 1 Best book of the week. Weisman does it again. |

Which one is that? Anyway, Don't feel bad, I'm still on vol. 10 of the trade books of IDW TMNT.
And speaking of TMNT- I just picked up a few things at my library today, for use as research materials of fics. They had a book sale, and the first thing that caught my eye was a book titled "Ninjutsu, History and Tradition" by a Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. Accodring to the cover, he's 34th Grandmaster of Togakure Ryu, so I'm expecting this to be interesting and informative. And I picked it up for only 1$!! Well, I also picked up my allotment of FCBD comics (including the IDW TMNT one- YAY!!!) and while I was there, I checked out a book on sea turtles (also for my fics), and Book 5 of Walking Dead. (That one's purely for fun, because we've been watching through the series again on our local station that airs the earlier seasons.) Sadly, the sea turtle book and the Walking Dead will have to go back in a couple of weeks, but the Ninjutsu book will make a nice addition to my personal library- right next to my copy of Jeet Kun Do by Bruce Lee. Edit: No, wait, I forgot that one was "borrowed" by a "friend" of ours- without permission. And it was given to me by a friend of my uncle's who studied that art. I want to wring someone's neck, now....

I am reading The Mortal Instruments - City of Bones
I bought it at a discounter for 2€. The parts 2 to 5 were there too, but I didn´t know if I like them so I bought only the first one. I thought it´s really good and wanted the others too, but when I went there in the evening they were all gone I should have bought them right away....

Got a copy of "The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made" yesterday and I could not put it down. I finished it in a day and it was absolutely hilarious, genuinely sweet at times and also kind of sad. A very interesting read about a very strange friendship between two people trying to make it in Hollywood.

NOS4R2 by Joe Hill.
Enjoyable enough read, nearly finished. I really like the little nods that he's made to his father's work (IT and Dark Tower references have cropped up). Bing is f***ing sick.

The 13½ Lives of Captain Bluebear
by Walter Moers This book is actually nuts. Roughly at the 150 page mark so far, and loving it.

Star Wars: Sith Lords. It's okay. This one is supposed to spotlight Vader and Palpatine trapped on Ryloth and going up against Hera's father before the Rebels animated series. They really should have called this one FREEDOM FIGHTERS... aaaand Sith Lords since the majority of the book focuses on the Twileks. Fun read, though.
