TMNT minimates its happening! - Page 24

No plans for Donnie this year, but I suppose that may change. I'm sure we will make him eventually.

And this is the first thing we have left Donnie out of. We did Leo and Mikey because they were at the Diamond Select (blue) and Nick (orange) booths at SDCC. We did Raph at NYCC because he was the most New York of all of them. Otherwise, Donnie has been in every series so far, and he got a Mutagen variant in Series 2 to match the other three from Series 1 (three retail locations).

Chrome Dome is in the same wave but TRU Exclusive. Pixel Dan's unboxing was for specialty stores/comic shops.

So we can get them at TRU and comic shops, but can we get them at average retail stores? because I have never seen any minimates in them

As far as I know, Toys R Us is the only regular retail store to carry Minimates. Kmart started to with series one. But that didn't seem to go over all that well.

The 2 pack are ToyRUs USA exclusives. The single packs should be available to comic shops and specialty stores because those were probably the only places that carries them.

Probably not opening these as I already have ALL of waves 1-3 on display. I still have to get Saki & Baxter from my local comic shop when they get them in (and probably 2 extra Blue Krang). I have to figure out some kind of display for all of these, maybe shot glass display cases or something.

That being said, the Turtles space domes are just helmets. They are removable. Since Chrome Dome is a bot, I expect it to be a cap over a blank head.

Maybe DSTZack can answer that one? Also, Zack...
I just realized, we need a METALHEAD!!! Y'all totally forgot about him, Tiger Claw, Xever, Dogpound, Fishface & Irma. And, we need a Minimates TMNT Turtle Party Wagon!

PS... How are you guys displaying your TMNT Minimates collections? Got any cool ideas? Pics are most welcome.

I will display mine with my other MMs, Ill post pics when I get series 3, I do have a few ideas.

I only display my Mirage Minimates because I don't like the Nick toon that much anymore, I have my mirage Mates in front of my Loyal Subjects figures.

What is an average retail store? If you mean a massive chain like Target or Walmart, no plans at this time, although we have pitched them Minimates in the past. Hot Topic carries some Minimates, but not these. Hastings will probably not get the new wave, at this point. Not sure if we're in Spencer's with these.

We usually say "comic shops and specialty stores" because any independent store that carries this kind of merchandise, be it a toy store or a gift store or whatever, can set up a Diamond Comics account and order these in. They don't have to sell comics.

Write in to Ask DST about other Nick characters you want to see, although I'm not sure how deep we're going. We may explore other eras.
