My mom put the game on her phone yesterday after she caught her boss playing it at lunch, haha.

Since she can't have her phone turned on during exams, she's letting me have it during the day so I can go catch Pokemon. Me and my brother are going to go to the lake tomorrow to check things out.

For now all I have is a Bulbasaur [best gen1 starter :DDD] but I've seen all kinds of silhouettes in the nearby tab, including eevee and cubone ;w;

All these casuals playing Pokemon Go, yet I bet none of them will buy Sun/Moon when they come out in November on 3DS.

Literal casuals.

Hey man some of them are just people that go on walks and thought it would add more fun to their walk. And that's fine. Let people play games the way they want.

Like this, which is hilarious:

This is true for the majority, but I'm sure that GO will bring a lot more attention to the games.

Well, for one thing, the app is free. The game is not. Neither is a 3DS, which a lot of people playing the game may not even already have.

Of course there are going to be people who are only into Pokemon Go, it's a hot thing right now.

When I first heard of this I thought it was the stupidest thing, now I'm on team valor and walking around town with my kids trying to find Pokemon.

That escalated quickly.

Your kids are old enough already to use a cell phone? I see your profile you're only 28 so I can't imagine them being more than 5 or so.

It can work on his phone, he just needs to download the latest APK file and side load it.

He pronounced it "Poke-e-man."

Somehow I feel like we time traveled back to the year 1999 again. God this is bringing back flashbacks. Only now its phones instead of Gameboys with Pokemon Red/Blue.

lmao you're talking to smartphone-illiterate people for the most part, as not even I know what that means.

His phone appears to be compatible but the game crashes instead of starting. Not the only game it happens with.

Others have mentioned it, but yeah, beware now...

And if you thought people were already too distracted by their phones, well get ready:

...And I guess some are even playing it at inappropriate sites:
