this horrible series has been banished to Sundays. I'll be shocked if it lasts another season.

Wow, for fun and because I kind of figured this would be the case... I looked at Supergirl's ratings.

Season 1 averaged 9.8 million viewers.

Season 2 averaged 3.1 million viewers.

Season 3 averaged 2.8 million viewers.

And the latest episode of Supergirl, from season 4?

0.9 million viewers.

Yeouch!

I wonder what the hard cutoff point is for the CW? It'd be interesting to see the same numbers for, say, Arrow, Flash, and Legends.

Even if Supergirl only lasts another season or two, they'd just spin her off to the Legends of Tomorrow team.

Black Lightning averaged about 1.5 million for season 1, and the last half of season 2 was pulling 0.9s and 0.8s. And there might not be a Legends of Tomorrow still around to ship Supergirl off to.

Kind of seems like the whole CW verse is in jeopardy.

As far as I know it's not ending this season so it's probably getting at least 5 seasons. Either way the fact that the show and all the other CW shows lasted as long as they did is something in itself. Besides Smallville I never would have thought any of these shows would go on more than 1-2 seasons, maybe 3 at most.

That show cannot be cheap. Expensive shows with much better ratings have been cancelled much sooner than this sh*tfest.

I think there were just too many shows that were too similar that has killed the ratings since people have gotten tired of the formula. I'm still surprised how the Arrowverse did more than any of us would've expected and hell we're getting a Crisis event this year.

So in a way it is 'Get Woke, Go Broke', they're being forced to continue producing an expensive show only a handful of people watch just to avoid the Twitter mob.
