While I agree that the NECA products are more interesting, I would have to disagree strongly that the Super 7 lines are not appealing.

My problem with the super 7’s is that they’re just slightly better versions of the originals. I’d rather have them either toon accurate or just have the original playmates line for nostalgia sake. I don’t need slightly improved versions of something I already own. The smaller reaction ones are a joke.

personally really excited to see if super 7 has more to show on their ultimates line. not really interested in their reaction line. also hyped for neca, and genuinely morbidly curious to see what playmates has to show.

I agree the reaction line is odd looking, and at first I was turned off by them but they have grown on me slightly, especially with all the different ones they are proposing to make that you can pre-order.
I finally just bought some today actually. if I hate em, ill send em to ya for free

There should be, at least, a list for the third wave of TMNT Ultimates.

I expect the largest TMNT displays to come from NECA and Playmates. I’m hoping to see Rat King from NECA and these Classic TMNT figures from Playmates.

NECA:
- Quarter scale Splinter or riot.
- I'm sure we'll see some TMNT 2 news from NECA. Quarter? 7"? Both? Not sure
- Don't know if we'll see more cartoon stuff...they've already shown & announced a lot that has yet to come out. I suspect we'll just see more of April, Casey, damaged foot soldiers, Leatherhead, Triceratons, etc etc etc.

Super7:
- Maybe final versions of wave 1, maybe updated ship date
- Protos for wave 2, maybe talk about the ship date?
- Maybe talk about plans for wave 3, but I'm sure there's nothing to show
- Maybe news on Toxie?

Playmates:
- Who cares

Things I would love to see.

Playmates
Better Rise of the TMNT products. It's on Netflix now and I usually have it played on the background while I work and do stuff but I end up pausing what I do and pay attention to the show. It's surprisingly good. The villains are interesting and has personality.

Mirage style Splinter, April, Shredder, Casey Jones and Foot clan and Hamato Yoshi

NECA
Just more 1/4 figures. I don't get why we are stopping when the best figures made are in 1/4 scale.

Doesn't make sense for them to release TiT Rahzar & Tokka separately from the cartoon line. It'll probably go the leatherhead route, same molds different paintjob.

The only thing that can get me excited is PUNK FROGS........... and maybe Mondo Gecko.

Because NECA doesn't like to make anything they can't repaint 5000 times, especially at larger scales.

We only got the foot soldier because he's a troop builder, and easily remolded into Shredder.

I mean, I'm with you and still hoping we get Splinter, Casey, and April at some point (if likeness becomes an issue - Casey can have his mask on at least). We just know NECA's playbook at this point. Never say never, but I do think Splinter is a bit of stretch for them. Maybe doing quarter scale Splinter with TMNT2 Ooze turtles will make the wave cost work out.

Playmates will not be producing any more Rise of the TMNT figures this year. Classic TMNT (based on the Fred Wolf universe or original toy line) is their next route.

I think they are abandoning Rise and going for the nostalgia cash grab instead?

Can anyone name me a toy company that doesn't do that?
All the tmnt toy makers, and marvel legends(Hasbro) does it.
Which superior toy company creates unique molds for everything? Name one.

I'm not inclined to support Playmates much anymore, but if they really are doing a good Secret of the Ooze line, I might be in trouble. I'll have to see them first. I never did buy their Movie I line.
What does that even mean? Are they going to rererelease that awful movie turtles again?

Hasbro with the Black Series is probably about as good as it gets. I don't buy everything so maybe I'm missing some obvious recycling but for the most part figures have unique sculpts for the majority of their construction.

But yes, most companies do rely on repaints/re-releases to make the most of their molds. I think the difference is that usually those companies also have a much larger bank of figures. How many times has NECA released the exact same toon turtles with just paint differences? Four? Five? That's a lot when the whole line consists of less than like 12 characters.

Hahaha, the entitlement from the 18" collectors is hilarious. NECA owes you jack ****, you whiny little bitch.

It looks like Playmates will be on Toy Fair, but they don't have new RTMNT toys.
