Yeah me too, because they always meet in the finals, don't they.

I missed the Spurs-Jazz game, I only caught the last 0:53. Was it ever close? Because I really don't thnk Utah has a chance.

Pistons and Cavs play tonight and I really hope LeBron gets shut down.

The whole Michael Vick dog fighting situation is pretty sick and makes me angry, but what Clinton Portis said pisses me off even more...what a goddamn idiot.

Am I the only person here hoping for Spurs vs. Pistons II in the Finals?

Utah was in it for the 1st Quarter or so...then all downhill...not a very special game by any means...

Well Pistons squeaked out a win. LeBron didn't play all that well and we still barely won.

I dont see why everyone is uset with LeBron for passing up the last shot. He had Tayshaun (who is a good shot blocker) and Rasheed(7 blocks in the game) coming over. But I still think he woulda made the layup if he took it. He had Marshall in the corner WIDE OPEN and he is a damn fine 3-pt shooter. If he woulda took the shot and got blocked or missed he would be getting ripped for not passing it to Marshal in the corner and for being too selfish. It's just rediculous.

Vick is a POS, and Portis has proven that he is no better by making such idiotic statements. Apparently the Redskins agree, they have since apologized for what he said.

Portland and Seattle were the big winners and Boston and Memphis were the big losers. I feel sorry for Oden because Portland can't do anything right....they do have a few good young players though.

Yea, Portland really lucked out...we'll see if Oden can live up to all the hype...

And I'm wondering where my beloved Gators will land...Horford will probably be the first one of them selected, followed by Brewer then Noah...

wow, serious deja vu watching the pistons-cavs game last night

This time LeBron took the shot. What do the 'critics' have to say now?

Mike Brow was pretty dumb for getting a technical. They were down 1 and even if the Pistons hit both free throws they still have a chance. But that technical could've screwed them if Detroit had made all the FTs....and there were a few more seconds, but Brown wasn't aware of that.

Who in the WORLD watched the Indians/Red Sox game tonight?

Tell me how this makes sense. Indians are batting in the 9th, Casey Blake is up to bat. Now, a high inside pitch is thrown. He backs away and turns. The ball hits his hands. The umpire immediately says to take his base. THEN he changes his mind and calls him out.

Now. Either he got hit with the ball, in which case he takes his base... Or he hit the ball and it was a foul ball. HOW is he out?

Man, would I have appealed that, and guaranteed I woulda had to have been dragged away from that umpire, kicking dirt and screaming. I was screaming at the TV here, for goodness sake.

Now my blood pressure's all up and we LOST because of that call. Someone explain to me how it is possible to have that call?

Sad news today from the NFL:

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The body of New England Patriots player Marquise Hill was found Monday, a state official said, a day after he was reported missing following a jet ski accident on Lake Pontchartrain.

Hill's body was discovered by searchers about a quarter of a mile from where the former LSU star and a female companion were involved in the accident, Capt. Brian Clark of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department said.

"The family will have to make positive identification," Clark said, "but the body we found was that of Mr. Marquise Hill."

The Coast Guard was called Sunday night, Petty Officer Tom Atkeson said. The search began immediately, using boats and helicopters.

By the time the body was found, the Coast Guard, Wildlife and Fisheries, the New Orleans Police Department and Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department were involved, Clark said.
Hill's body was taken to the Orleans Parish Coroner's office, but phone messages left there and on coroner Frank Minyard's cell phone were not immediately returned.
Hill's agent, Albert Elias, said he had been told Hill and a young woman were jetskiing Sunday in the lake when both of them went into the water, which had a strong current. Elias said the woman was able to make it to a pylon and hang on until she was rescued, while Hill was last seen floating away from the scene.

Hill played on LSU's national championship team and was a second-round draft pick by New England in 2004.

"We are all shocked," Patriots owner Robert Kraft said in a statement.

The woman, whose identity was not available Monday, was rescued and sent to Tulane Medical Center where she told them Hill had tried to keep her calm as the two were drifting away from each other.

Neither Hill nor the woman wore a life preserver, Atkeson said.

"It's so important to have a life jacket and a signaling device," Atkeson said. "One keeps you afloat and the other helps us find you."

Elias said Hill, a defensive end, spent much of his time since Hurricane Katrina helping family members rebuild their homes.

"From what I hear he's done a lot to help with things after Katrina and I know he had a great passion for the city of New Orleans," said former LSU quarterback Matt Mauck, who was Hill's teammate at LSU. "Off field he was a really kind person, kind of like a gentle giant. And not only for LSU, but for New England and everyone who got chance to meet him throughout his life, everyone has to be extremely saddened and disappointed to hear the news."

After going to the NFL, Hill continued to do much of his offseason training at LSU's Baton Rouge campus, about 80 miles up the Mississippi River from New Orleans, and was known and admired by current Tigers players, university athletics spokesman Michael Bonnette said.

"His presence meant a lot for some of the younger guys. He gave them someone to look up to and he was always there for them," Bonnette said. "Here's a 6-foot-6, 300-pound guy, as intimidating as can be, and yet every time you approached him he always welcomed you with big old smile. In between the lines, he had his game-face on, but outside the lines, in the community or in the weight room, he was always smiling and having good time."

Missed that part...Umpires always seem to miss the obvious calls.

But I don't know if they lost because of that call.

Not sure if i missed it in the aritcle or not, but I heard that he couldn't even swim...if thats true, why put yourself in a position like that? Regardless, it is a very sad death...
