Well he finally did it. Bonds is the new homerun king. Personally I'm not a big fan of Bonds. I know there is no proof he took steroids but c'mon, he's huge arms are the proof. Still, it's a great accomplishment even though I dislike him. I think it would be sweet to see A-Rod be the new homerun king someday. A-Rod was the youngest player to ever hit 500 homers so it's not out of the question.

I wish Ken Griffey Jr. would have stayed healthy...he definately would have been a contender for the HR title. Not to mention he is a better person as well.

^ No Joke. Griffey hit bombs with no roids. Nothing be a sweet natural homerun swing. If his injuries pissed me off, I cannot imagine how he must feel about it. Hopefully he has no regrets because he is still one of the best in my book

Hey finally some baseball talk goin on. I'm pretty sure Barry took steroids, just look at his home run totals over the years, but it's possible that he didn't. And you know he's faced a fair share of picthers that were on the juice. Either way it's a great accomplisment, and I'm glad its over now. As a side note, did you notice he didn't even hug his son when he got to home plate? he just did the point to the sky and the kid tried to hug him but it turned out to be one of the most awkward moments I've seen on television

^ Ha! Yeah that sucks for the little guy. I actually didn't see the actual game, just the highlights on sports center. Now I feel bad for that little guy. And, yeah we have no way of knowing if he was on the juice unless he admits it but personally, I wholeheartedly believe he did.

Smart move. I just hope he retires after this year and then someone else comes along to break his record.

Hard to say, he's still a productive hitter (His OBP. is almost .500) so he's no has been, but it is time for him to let the next guy (most likely Rodriguez) pass him up.

Man, that's true. He gets walked a lot! That's always nice to have a player on base that frequently. I wonder what his thoughts are on playing another season.

If I were him, I'd play go play for a team with atleast another all-star hitter. If he played on the tigers (for example) put Bonds behind Ordonez and Sheffield, you'd have 2 runners on base almost ever time throught the line up for their other good hitters like Guillen, Casey, and Pudge.

That would be a good spot for him. He needs to get out of the NL west and head to an AL team. He's getting old and if he wants to keep playing, the DH would be the best spot for him. I would want his bat on my team but to tell you the truth, I don't know about his glove. He isn't exactly amazing in the outfield like he used to be.

Lol yea, but you have to admit that it's fun to watch 40+ years olds try to play defense.

Lol uh.... Atlanta? Behind Chipper and Texeira, in front of McCann, Fancoer and Andruw (even thought I don't see him staying in the NL).

Anyways Senor Snackpants, do you fear the Indians?

Ha. Really, snackpants? You don't want Bonds in the lineup. I would think teams would want a guy who gets on base 50% of the time. He he could just learn to hit opposite feild he could really be a weapon.

Holy crap, guess who the Blue Jays have leading off today... Matt Stairs, arguably the most obese player in the MLB these days.

Nah, I fear the Tigers pitching right now. They've been doing terrible the last couple weeks. I'll wait until we play the Indians next week before I start worrying about them.

EDIT: No I would not want Bonds on the Tigers. I could never cheer for that guy. I don't care what anyone says, the dude took steroids. Your body doesn't grow like that when you're an adult. He also seems like a giant a-hole in every interview I've ever seen him in.
