What a day for upsets today in college football!

Anyone watch that great comeback game
between Michigan and Wisconsin?

Wouldn't it be something if there's a rule in the NFL in which if you lose the first four games, you would be eliminated from the playoffs? It would be a great crossover, NFL meets Press Your Luck!

Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans & St. Louis Rams have Whammied out!

It's really hard to rally from a four or five game deficit.
I think it has happened before, but I believe that is the
exception to the rule.

Not sure if Mr. Snackpants and ToTheNines are still checking this thread but I'd be interested to hear what you guys are thinking about the current NBA season so far.

Mr. Snackpants: What do you think about the deal Detroit made? Iverson is a bonafide Hall of Famer, but as of right now it's looking like the Nuggets got the better end of the trade so far (but then again Detroit has cap space for a future FA signing).

ToTheNines: Did you ever get that jersey and if so who'd you get? Rose is just dominating, I'm so impressed with his play. On some days I don't know how the Bulls would have done it without him, I have a feeling their record would be more like last years, 0-9 or something ridiculously bad. I'd like a Rose jersey but I'd much rather put that money towards Bulls tickets if I can get them.

Wow I kinda forgot about this thread.

I had mixed emotions about the trade. Initially I vowed to never again watch a Pistons game. It sucks because I've been watching this core group of guys for 5-6 years. I cooled off and realized it would happen sooner or later. Plus it clears up cap room for the next era of Piston's basketball and perhaps a better chance at a title this year.

Now that I've watched a bunch of games with Iverson I can safely say this season is done. We're not making a run at anything in the same conference as Boston and the same division as Cleveland. I guess this will make June easier. Normally they have a chance and then blow it, leaving me in a bad mood. But now I don't expect anything out of them.

I just hope we get a big name either this summer or next. And no I don't believe that LBJ is coming here, those columnists are on crack.

Just got back from Miami...

GATORS WIN!! GATORS WIN!!!

Another terrific year, another championship. 2 basketball and 2 football championships in the last few years. Sure it wasn't their best game, but it was enough.

GO GATORS!!

There should be a new law that you aren't allowed to say "Steelers" unless you pronounce it correctly. I am so sick of hearing "GO STILLERS!" Seriously, all I imagine is a multitude of Ben Stillers in football get-up.

As a Bears fan I’m really excited about this move.

It's a terrible move.

The Bears have 2-3 years to do something special or they just made a bad mistake.

Eastern

Semis
Montreal vs Washington
New Jersey vs Pitsburgh

Final
Washington vs New Jersey

Western

Semis
San Jose vs Columbus
Vancouver vs Chicago

Finals
San Jose vs Vancouver

NHL FINAL
San Jose (Winner) vs New Jersey

My team is Montreal, I hope they go far but I don't see them doing it. I also want Vancouver to do well. But I think Detroit will fail this year. Hopefully more people are into hockey here.

My hope is that Montreal stuns Boston. Frankly, history is on the side of the Canadiens. They have just been a better playoff team the Boston, bar none. Hopefully, history repeats.

I really think San Jose is going to be a tough team to beat in the Western Conference, but to tell the truth, I'm just hoping it is any team but the Red Wings. Yeah, I'm still a little bitter...

Yeah for sure, I was just glad that Detroit didn't win the presidents cup yet again. And like you I hope they fail miserably, mostly because I hate detroit band wagoners. I have one friend that is a die hard fan, followed them for 10+ years or more, and about 10 friends that cheer for the red wings, but only because they are the red wings, its rather annoying. I will support my Toronto team all the way to the ground, and also love Montreal, my two teams, Toronto first, Montreal second, anything else, I want Canadian teams to win, minus Ottawa lol. Battle of Ontario up here. But other than that, I like seeing teams that can do so well, with the luck and stars not on their side.

That is how I am with the Pittsburgh teams, no matter how horrible their records are or how painful it is to watch a game, I support them. And "painful" has been the word for the Pirates for quite a few years now.

Pens won!!! My boy Evgeni Malkin, 1 goal, 1 assist!!!
