I used to go to a lot of Preds games. I love hockey. my college has hockey instead of football.....imagine that in the south. LOL.

But until college football is over.......I won't pay attention to hockey.

Roll Tide Y'all.

Columbus Day ended up being "Oh my!" day. Why? Because these three teams played that day.

Detroit Lions
Detroit Tigers
Chicago Bears

Lions & Tigers & Bears, oh my!

I'm excited for this season, not just because the Leafs are (I hope) on a slow climb out of the basement, but because of the return of the Jets. Annoying that I have to spring for Center Ice to make sure I get all the games I want to see, but it's worth it.

But 1994? It also has the same October calendar.

The Oilers played on a Monday night, October 3, 1994. Don't believe me, look that up in your Wikipedia.

It's racist because you have assumed that only people of a certain skin color like hockey. The correct statement would have been about geography....cause the south and hocky have a weird relationship. (And I'm southern)

As for race....Nashville is a very diverse city and the Preds have all kinds of fans. Ever been to a Dallas Stars game in Dallas? I have. Diverse crowd there too.

Oh and. I'm biracial. So. Yeah.

If you believe people who aren't white can like hocky it's silly to say that only white people go to games......unless you are commenting on income disparity between races.....which is also kind of a racist thought.

I'm guessing the city you went to a game in is a pretty non-diverse city. Probably if that city had....say...a basketball team...or a football team....that the crowd would be mostly white too. Atlanta is a majority black city. Crowds at events logically reflect the demographics of their location. A hockey team in Atlanta could be expected to draw a mixed crowd.

I live in a majority black city. When I go to soccer games and hockey games and the symphony and the ballet and shopping and whatever someone who is less educated might consider appealing to "only whites" the crowd reflects the demographics.
Lo and behold all types of people like all types of things. Go figure.

Making a prediction on the liklihood of success of a certain activity based on the racial mix of the population is inherently racist. Period.

Boy, what a fabulous day yesterday. It's a triple play for the Lone Star state!

1). Texans won over Tennessee 41-7
2). Cowboys won ove Rams 27-7
3). Rangers over Cardinals 4-0

Back in 1985, it was known as the I-70 World Series. This year, it's known as the U.S. 67 World Series.

anyone watch the Marquez Pacqiao 3 fight? or that Chavez Manfredo fight?
Gona take that as a no. But Marquez should have at least gotten a draw, and Chavez straight up owned Manfredo.

It's official. As of November 17, the Houston Astros have moved over to the American League, so that each division can finally balance out @ 5 teams each.

National League Central's lost is the American Legue West's gain.

Only down side, the DH rule will be in effect, no pitchers can bat (unless they visit a NL city).

On the positive side, we get to play the I-45 rival Rangers & Toronto Blue Jays (or as I call it, the Heat Miser series; personal joke).

Detroit Lions & Houston Texans.

The last time Detroit played on NBC was back in 1997 against the New York Jets while for Houston was back in 1996 (not a typo because they moved to Tennessee next season) against the Baltimore Ravens.

Who will lose this Survivor contest?

(Doing my Ryan Seacrest or Nick Cannon)

One of these teams will finally play on NBC while the other will be stuck on the island, just like the Toronto Blue Jays are with Fox's baseball coverage.

The winner who'll get off the island & finally play on NBC are...

(24 second pause)

Detroit Lions!

That means the Houston Texans are the sole survivor to stay on the NFL/NBC island just like the Toronto Blue Jays for the MLB on Fox Island!

Texans Wins AFC South!

The Houston Texans have finally made the post season playoffs, when they defeated Cincinnati Bengals 20-19 (+ New Orelans Saints beating Tennessee Titans 22-17), they won the AFC South!

It has been 6,566 days or 938 weeks since Houston has made post season.

Clinton was President

Power Rangers, Boy Meets World, Animaniacs debuted.

A Desperate Housewife was a reporter for the Daily Planet (Lois & Clark)

Mark Paul Gosselar (Brains & Brawn) & Ahmad Rashad (Caesar's Challenge) hosted game shows.

Captain Planet jumped from DIC to Hanna-Barbera.

January 7 will be a historic day as the Texans FINALLY play on NBC when they host the Cincinnati Bengals.

In fact, NBC's football lineup that day all connect with I-10.

High School Senior Bowl; San Antonio
AFC WIld Card; Houston
NFC Wild Card; New Orleans

Tom Hammond (Mr. Horse Racing) will call the Texans game.
