Greta Thunberg convicted

Yesterday, Monday, the Malmö Local Lawcourt in Sweden sentenced Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg to fine for disobeying the police while blocking a tank truck in June. Immediately afterwards, she was carried away by police again after blocking the road.

I mean this is non-news, she's basically just taken out of whatever scene she's in and they let her go by the end of the day. The reason she's always smiling is because she knows she's never in any real trouble.

Or she is just an autist, who doesn't comprehend what is going on.

As a person who’s on the autism spectrum myself, she embarrasses me.

When she was 8 years old, she was almost scared to death when hearing of climate change at school. Now, she scares the next generation of children.

When I was a kid and my grandfather had just passed away, I happened to read a Jehovah's Witnesses brochure about Adam and Eve's original sin being the reason why people die, so I got it in my dumb kid head to hop into a time machine, go back in time and stop them from eating the apple so that no one else would have to die or feel sad at the loss of their loved ones. And of course, I reasoned that my tech-savvy, refrigerator-and-TV-repairing stepfather would be more than qualified to build said time machine. As you can probably guess, that did not pan out.

Bottom line: we think a lot of crazy sh*t when we're kids. At some point we need to just grow up.

I had quite a lot of cray ideas as a kid - like pills for immortality. Not that I will be the one to invent them, but someone else will and I will them to my parents. As you can guess, didn't happen.

The deepest, most primal and longest lasting human fear... Can't even imagine what went through the mind of the first ever Homo sapiens to watch someone else die. I'd pay good money to lay my hands on some of those pills, especially if they worked on animals.

She needs some sort of lasting consequence. Lock her up a few months. See if she's still smiling after that.

Greta Greta Greta...

I'm not going to fault the girl for having a cause she cares about and trying to champion for it, it's far more than most people do sitting on their ass complaining about something yet wait for anyone else to bother getting up... but good god, woman, it's unhealthy to make any cause your entire life.

I really hate when people get themselves into trouble or cause some kind of issue then smugly act like it's a win. An idiot's false sense of having "power" via upsetting others or breaking laws. Hopefully being autistic won't prevent her from maturing past that kind of BS.

On contrary, I think, our ancestors were much less afraid of death, just, because, it was an everyday occurrence. People died while hunting, gathering food, from even simplest sicknesses or traumas. While they without a doubt ascribe some sanctity to the life and death and build rituals around it, I don't think it was as traumatizing for them as for modern humans.

They are probably behind all of this, using their kid to get filthy rich. It's Brook Shield's mom all over again.

Oh Jesus yes like wow. But enough parental attention and the “new age” parenting nonsense clearly doesn’t work. I don’t condone beating the hell out of a kid as discipline, but ffs maybe they do need a slap on the a$$ once in awhile
