Guys, I figured out a perfectly sensible solution!

Hal Jordan goes nuts from being possessed by the bug god of fear, which leads to Superboy-Prime punching the core of reality, So Barry Allen has to alter the events of the timeline but Doctor Manhattan screwed that up by swinging his big blue dick in front of the Kents' car.

And that's why Kate looks different! Makes sense, right?

Considering we're getting a Superman show, they should have ended with Batwoman leading up to the return of (real) Bruce Wayne and Batman, then cue a Batman show

Too ideologically important to be canceled.
Not a good look and optics.

I mean, the fact it was given two seasons before one episode even aired and before they knew how anyone would react to it, kinda tells you they were committed to force-feeding it to people whether they liked it or not. They did the same thing with the new She-Ra, giving it a full series order before anything about it was even known to the public. No feedback whatsoever at that point, always the possibility these shows wouldn't be received well, but "We're going full speed ahead, anyway."

You generally don't see that much commitment to something before it even sees the light of day. Just in cases like this. Which says an awful lot.

Sometimes companies give series several seasons from the start. Not sure how often it happens, but by itself it is nothing out of ordinary.

Now in this circumstances, it might be different.

Spartacus? Andy Whitfield died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Liam McIntyre had to replace him in the next season.

But the main story was already there.
I'm not sure what is the excuse for Batwoman since it's that kind of show that they keep improvising at each seasons and I only heard bad things about it.

Last thing I heard was about Hush being in it. Why would you introduce Hush in a show where we dont even know Bruce. It doesnt have any impact...

That's interesting, I didn't know the new Batwoman would be playing the same character. What's the story with the older one leaving the show?

I agree, that makes no sense. Hush would be an awesome character to adapt given the proper build and storyline. That's not a villain you should just drop right into the mix, especially on a show that doesn't have a Batman.

This show kinda always seemed desperate for attention, and I think that's just one more thing. Kinda wish the CW crew didn't write these shows by skimming Wikipedia.

They're apparently changing the lead role and making a new character become Batwoman for this show: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...arture-1296951

Yeah.

https://www.darkhorizons.com/batwoma...new-character/

What a sh**show. So quietly off-screen usher off Kate Kane and just like that, another lady character they're going to make up from scratch will take up the mantle? And also just happens to be a lesbian?

It's nice to know this thing is a complete waste of time. I'd hate to feel like I was missing anything important.

And to top it off, they couldn't even finish their first season, like the truncated seasons of Flash and Legends of Tomorrow and even Supergirl (I think) that are showing up on Netflix. They just kind of stop, no "season finale" or anything.

Reminiscent of how most TV shows operated right through to the late 80s. Back then it was incredibly rare for shows to have what you'd call 'proper' finales unless they were permanently ending.

In some cases, like The Flash, it reminds me of a typical cliffhanger season finale you'd find in the 90s.

Yeah, but the tragedy is that even good shows had a ton of "Eh, nobody gives a sh*t" going on behind the scenes as standard operating procedure back then. Things should have evolved past that by now.

I mean, they haven't, but they should've.

Legends did have a proper Season Finale for S5 they got all episodes filmed before Covid19 happened

Don't remind me. First two seasons were so good and then the whole series turned to Superman-rip-off ****.

Whose career was shorter in-universe, hers or Nolan Batman's?
