So I guess capturing the game feed (other than pointing a camera at the screen) is possible too. Simpsons is tempting...

Wondering if the cabinet could be 'home adjusted' to play more games, even the fanmade TMNT Rescue-Palooza gem that I have in my computer.

Anyone here conosseir of this field?

It's possible. A lot of people have been modding Arcade1up cabinets and install rasberry pis in them.

The Arcade 1up cabinets have lots of empty space in them and could be modified to use a computer. Raspberry Pis are more common, but you could get a computer to do the same thing and run PC based games.

Someone asked the same question on their Twitter account. They said it will be released in November. ..

I saw a bunch of these at walmart yesterday, alas, no TMNT but Mortal Combat, Golf, Galaga, Street Fighter. Got me super excited. They were marked 299.99

$300 sounds to good to be true. Are these pretty decent?

I’ve never seen one in person.

They looked pretty cool, they also had the risers sold separately.

I've tried the SF2 one and it seemed legit. Apparently the TMNT cab will be 350$.

Here's a very informative video on how to upgrade an arcade1up cabinet using a raspberry pi. This guy does lots of videos on retro arcade things and really knows his stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09DQCOr6zQM

The build quality is fairly average and there's been a lot of instances of missing parts. I've also seen a lot of reports of technical issues affecting the screen and sound. You'll also have trouble playing 2 or more players simultaneously as the A1UP cabs are 3/4 size.

For $300, I'd rather get an old full-sized cab, then gut and restore it and stick MAME in there, but if you're after something you can essentially play with less than an hour's work they're not bad.

This looks really cool but I don't really have the room and the price is high even for two games. I'll just mod one of my classic consoles and add the game there and just play on my TV.
