Is anyone here a fan of this strange, martial arts comedy anime?

Love it. Probably top 5 manga. I’m a sucker of the “everyone fighting over the same brain cell” character dynamics.

same! I love the interactions between Ranma and Akane and Ryoga

the music is full of bangers too

I have volume 2 of the manga

I relate to Ranma quite a bit

I’ve never watched it, but I think it’s what started the gender-bending trope.

Hell yeah, Ranma 1/2 is a Top 5 anime for sure! I can't believe how many quirky characters the show has that are all interesting with their gimmick, only Simpsons have a world with that many unique fun characters in to interact with. It amazes me how creative the episodes can get with the premise. I'm kinda sad it's slowly been forgotten after being such a huge anime in the 90s. I wouldn't want a revival since I think a lot of the charm would be lost, though that one special they did a few years ago still felt exactly like the show did.

Yeah, have always enjoyed it, though in recent years I have become more of Urusei Yatsura fan.

Ukyo is my best girl.

Though I have to say girl ranma is most attractive, you have to feel sorry for that girl to have drowned in one of those cursed pools/springs just so Ranma would be cursed with her form.
