I'm of the opinion that it wasn't a total waste of time but I definitely feel that some things are not needed and that they need to do more fights like the original show did.

The reboot will apparently be coming to an end after the third season

Personally it shouldn't have gotten a 2nd season let alone a 3rd, but at least it is ending.

For a "failed" reboot that seems like a very healthy revival. Is the show really that bad or just people outside the target audience complaining?

It's hard to say, PPG was never about memes and slice of life, but that stuff wasn't big when the OG were on the air.

Ironically the PPG in the TTG crossover acted more like the OG ones than the reboot ones.

Super embarrassing to now look back at how they thought this was gonna be a huge hit with the kids, and how they had big hopes for the toyline/merchandise

If they insist on rebooting old shows, they should at least do it with shows that were NOT huge hits/very successful. Make something bad/mediocre into something good or even great, instead of taking great shows and turning them into...well, whatever this was

The reboot is garbage, they even recycled many jokes from other shows on CN.
