Now leaving this discussion, just felt the need to say aloud something many may have been thinking but didn't want to say. Or, maybe I'm in the super minority. Either way, thanks for your time.

And yet the idea wasn't so sick as to repel you from the thread as a whole.
Curious.

That's it, there isn't any more comics like that (well, there's a few fan stuff, but not by these guys). It was drawn secretly and given to the Mirage crew as a joke, only 50 copies were made.

Historical value.

Facts:
1) The book was created in house at Mirage, by Mirage artists.
2) The book was limited to a print run of 50, and never released to the public; technically making it more rare than GobbledyGook #1.

So, as a collector of historical TMNT memorabilia, how could this book NOT appeal to me? Regardless of what is inside it. It is the biggest inside joke in the history of Mirage. So you go right ahead and be judgmental. I do not, nor will I ever, regret the purchase of this book.

Not to agree with smozers.... but I do find it sad that this is on pace to be the biggest thread in the comics section soon.

And also, I wonder where the other 49 are lol

People love to talk about controversy.

Well, Murphy had two, one of which is this one. One was recently sold by some random guy (he posted about it on the comic buyers guide forums) for $400 + $200 worth of comics in trade. Jim Lawson had one but gave it away about a month ago. Those are the only ones I know about.

I'm almost certain that no one was supposed to be aroused by this. It was just a bunch of Mirage and guest artists ending their run on the series and saying, "Let's just throw every debaucherous thing we can think of in here."

I mean, the dialogue for goodness' sake. "I've always wanted to unsheath your sword"? "Cowabunga!" climaxes? It's pretty clear that no one was taking this seriously.

Truth. And I say that as a fan of tcest and the adult area of the fandom.

There is no need for a scan or anything like that. Check the link cause there are pics where you can read everything perfectly.

I couldn't disagree more.
The provenance of this comic alone makes it an amazing addition to any collection. The fact that it involves adult content shouldn't disqualify it from importance.

The fact that it makes some people feel funny in their pants shouldn't either.

I think the guy who came up with the idea and wrote it and drew it probably thought it was much funnier than it ended up being.

I for one was deeply offended at how lousy the art was!

Seeing as the book was never meant for public consumption....I doubt very much that the art quality was a huge concern...

I can't help it, I'm tickled by the idea of gag art of a property which was itself conceived by means of gag art is being judged on its artistic quality and merit.

If that makes any sense at all.

You misunderstand. I think this is totally cool, and Archon should be proud to own it due to its rarity and humor... but still, Tales 64 was a damn good book and it aint got half the posts this thread does.

What, are you kidding? You don't think if there was a printed "Batman F***s Wonder Woman" comic by Grant Morrison and Jim Lee that it wouldn't be the the talk of the town on Batman forums?

That would be epic.

I say mad props to Archon for such an historic find, don't ever regret it. As a collector/completist myself (although a fairly broke one) I'd snap up a copy in a heartbeat if I could.

Content doesn't always equate value. Just look at Dark Knight Strikes Again! (Oooh, that was a cheapshot...)

That's because not everyone has seen the contents of that book yet.

(Lobs a coconut at his CBG).
