Yeah that's my first thought but Activision doesn't have the licence anymore right, So I assume it will be a new game app for phones, I pads ect.

I guess that confirms this is probably a special or short at most, unless its a videogame. They keep calling it a "project" its obviously not a new full fledged cartoon.

Why can't a cartoon be a "project"? Not really any limit on the use of that word, esp if you're trying to keep it vague.

Those three Shredders and their nicknames: "Classic Shredder", "Core Shredder", "Dark Shredder". Maybe we are going to have a "Turtles Forever 2"? If it is, I'm missing the Utrom Shredder.

Well, Ch'rell is dead. So if we never see him again it doesn't matter.

"FW17"? Is FW for Fred Wolf? This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the original cartoon's debut...
The design doesn't seem to match up with that, though... It doesn't seem anywhere near as streamlined, "gentle" or kid-friendly. But not a bad design overall. It does seem like they took in elements from multiple Shredder designs for this, '87, 2003, and IDW in particular. Actually, it'd fit right in with the armoured 2003 designs. Kind of feeling a comparison to these two: Some parts are a bit too busy... but that reflects a lot of modern character design sensibilities, and it's not one of the worst offenders by any stretch. The inclusion of maroon and purple is a nice nod to the Mirage and '87 designs. The Oni-style mask is pretty neat, though I don't think I'd like it as a "standard" design. It'd be a solid movie costume design, actually. A hell of a lot better than anything we've seen lately, for sure.

Still doesn't explain what the voice actor was working on. There is still another project.

I told you guys Nick wasn't making another cartoon.
We might get another special or short though like Half-shell heroes or those 3 minute shorts the creative team made. |

Would be cool if we got a short aimed for older fans.
But if that turns out to be true, why now would there be an interest in that audience suddenly? |

Because their cartoon/comic made aimed at kids are ending, & the goofy movie performed poorly. IDW's young adult comic does great numbers & is their most successful title. So it's possible (though unlikely in my opinion).

Yeah, it would be nice if Nick/Viacom switched gears to something with the same flavor as the IDW comics. I think if they're smart they will. They haven't done that yet and maybe, just maybe, they'll discover that's where the sweet spot is... hopefully.

would be so awesome if a more adult show was made but doubt itll happen since people keep slapping the "for kids" label on it......

OK, but if the idea is to have something with a more "mature" feel to put on merch, why not just use artwork from IDW? Why make a brand new design?
