Thanks man. I do believe they are serving to do these holy grails justice.

Yeah, it's not only esthetically buy the cannot fall also. That way you can display them easy and secured in upper areas. Mine are above 2 cabinets and nothing has felt over. And even if they do, the front glass panel will keep them in the case and due to the weight the case won't fall over.

Keep in mind that you cannot pose them in the most dynamic poses because of the limited space in the display case. But imo "museum poses" are the best poses for these guys, so it's cool.

PM'ed you with details.

Would it be possible to remove the side parts to create 1 interior? I guess there would be gaps, but I dont know what the top plate and bases look like on the side. Just seems ripe for modification to create more room and allow the turtles to span together more. Course Im too lazy to do that myself, so who am I to judge?

These cases are beautiful but Iíll stick with ikea detolf for half the price and 3 times the size. For another 20 can add my own lights.

Have you seen the detolf in person? You cant fit the turtles in there unless its vertically and even then I think its questionable.

It's possible but it's not very pretty because the black bottem and upper plate is wider then the front panels.

Right I see that so what I was asking is that if you can knock off the side of the base to mate the 2 bases together with no glass gap. At that point its a lot of trouble on a 100$ case though.

Thank you guys. I also like the fact the beautiful shells can be seen due to the mirrors in the back.

And about the Detolf: I own one myself also (with a LED strip), but I don't think the 1:4 Turtles are fitting well in it. You must adjust the height of the shelves off course and I don't like the fact the Turtles cannot be posed next to each other.

Like I said, I wanted to do these pieces justice and I don't really care about the price. YOLO!

I won't recommend that because there is a switch in the left corner of the back.

uh...what? The turtles are 18.5" tall each. The total height of the detolf is 65" not including the tops and bottom. Not sure how that works.

I have seen these in person, they are ok, but you cant get 4 1/4 scale turtles in there mathematically. In addition they are vertical.

The only way to solve this is for you to show pics. Otherwise Im not buying it. I want to believe but the math is just not there.

For example:

https://img.etsystatic.com/il/4051f4....jpg?version=1

This shows 1/6th scale figures in those cases...NOT 1/4 scale and even then they barely get 4 figures in there

You could always do this:

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attach...-jpg.27237217/

But I argue thats not ideal either and $60x4 is almost 100x4 with a perfect fit....meh

Here is a photo of all 4 turtles in 2 Detolf's. I have 2 more but I will be moving in a few weeks and figured wait to put them together. Also the lighting in the picture is temporary. I am working on a light strip with a total of 8 Leds per shelf. They will be single mini bulbs creating the same effect the cases on BBTS have. Should have this 100% complete within the next week.

http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/s...sptxpdfdv.jpeg

This is a picture of the clamp i used to lower my shelf to desired height.
http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/s...shnuwz83n.jpeg

4 Detolf = $260 +tax
8 Clamps = $5-10 depending where you get them
Current lights $6 each
Leds wires for custom lights currently working on $15

Once i move I will have 4 side by side with turtles on top shelf. Shredder and foot on 2nd shelf with room to spare for any more possible 1/4 scales that may come out for this line.

Wow, that display's amazing! Awesome work!

Say, would anyone know what the best way would be to buy these figures in Europe?
I'm afraid that buying them from the US (from BBTS or something) would result in quite steep additional taxes to get them here... :s
