My attempt for the evening from my pic stash.

edit:

Have a bonus, because I kind of adore the change in his facial expression and laugh any time I look at the clip. (Why I love the use of mocap. lol)

All of this seems to ride on people not knowing what a meme is.

A meme isn't just putting goofy text over a screencap or using a gif as a reaction. A meme has to be something that catches on, naturally. The fact that it's called a meme tells you right there what it has to be to be considered one.

"Let's make a meme" completely misses the entire point of what a meme is.

It has to catch on, I agree. Though, how can something catch on, if no one creates it to begin with.

Another thing is mixing in TMNT characters with existing memes.

IDK, kinda like having one the characters pointing to their heads with a variation of the 'you can't (insert example) if you're (insert example)'

Or those memes that point out flawed or reverse logic like

The Technodrome- Most Powerful and dangerous weapon ever

SPEND MOST OF THE SERIES BROKEN DOWN AND LOW ON POWER

or like

Donatello- Can create all sorts of machines and weapons

FIGHTS WITH A STICK

things like that.

Yeah, memes are usually things that happen spontaneously, and usually teasing something ridiculous. Usually to the point that the origin of the meme vanishes into thin air...and then ends up being funnier than expected when it's found.

For example, the "X in My Y? It's more likely than you think" meme

And just what is the original form?

Spoiler:
From Know Your Meme:
The original advertisement came from a popup ad for ContentWatch, the makers of Net Nanny software.

Obscure origins? In my meme? It's more likely than you think.

Memes are things that usually come into being by accident, aren't really things that should be forced. Otherwise, things go badly.

Oh you young kids of today. Back in my day it took 10 minutes just to load and watch a 2 minute video on quicktime or realplayer and 5 minutes just for a single picture to load.

Okay, but memes were of a thing before the internet - and even at the dawn of the internet.

"Kilroy was here" in the 40's, that weird "S" thing in the 90's, making fun of the various anti-drug PSAs in the 80's, CATCH PHRASES were memes in how often they were quoted.

The internet as it is now is pretty much getting memes in bulk. Which as a result, die out much faster.

And even in the internet's earliest days, there were memes on a smaller scale. This bit from Bone was something of a meme.

"Stupid Stupid [x noun]" was the way it was spun out, even if the actual image could be edited.

Heck, I even spun that out for Cylons several months ago in a memetic form. "Stupid Stupid Steak Face".

Wasn't one of this forum's memes a pic of 2012 Raph pointing at Mikey with Mikey being labeled as 'Cybercubed' and Raph being labeled as 'everyone else'?

Yep. I remember that one

Anyways, here's my take on a tmnt meme.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

The best tmnt memes in my opinion are the fake trump tweets that have him talking about turtles related stuff.

Of course, there's always tailoring TMNT into existing memes

A few of mine are...all IDW-based.

Spoiler:

I completely forgot I did this early last year (and later did a properly illustrated version).

But now it's way funnier than when I originally did it.

And through all of that...even in IDW, there's an equal to the 20,000 Leaks Under the City "Krang face"

One could easily blank out Fugitoid's text and replace it with just about anything. I mean, he even has the "meme text" Impact, or at least something very similar.

The movie scene with Raph in the bathtub might work for something. You know, if someone’s board and feeling creative.
