I work in a prison. So, it depends on what shift, and what's going on.

So this is the thread where Cybercubed brags about only doing any actual work for about an hour a day and still getting paid full-time.

Glad the pandemic is working out for you, man, but isn't it kinda douchey to rub that in other people's faces?

Depends on the job, but since I'm not now, I'll just go back to the Japan job. For that, not counting breaks, I'd say about 10 hours a day (even though my hours were 10:00 - 6:00, to avoid traffic, I arrived at 7:00 - 7:30). If I wasn't in the classroom, I was prepping, cleaning, or planning. Sometimes, I didn't leave until close to 9:00 pm. Conference time, close to midnight since we couldn't do any work involving our students' private information at home and we didn't have a lot of computers to share. I did sneak and do so anyway at times because it was just too tiring, especially with student portfolios. I'd put the info on my flashdrive.

For the last job that ended right before the pandemic (before I was furloughed with the new one I'd gotten last year) and before my ankle injury that I was on worker's comp for, I cut my own hours for that. I was doing about 30 - 35 hours a week since I was only a flex assistant teacher, and not a lead teacher or an assistant teacher assigned to a room so my responsibilities were very minimal.
