What bozo decided to make the seam run the way it does on the head anyway? And then what bozo after that seems unable to properly sand it away???
Seriously...some amateur stuff beyond belief there. I have been lucky so far on my head seams, but they're still there, visible, and they shouldn't be. What a major, major screw up, you really can't understate what a fail that was. |

Oh yeah, Raph & the poster are beyond doubt at this point.
Shredder, Foot Ninja & Casey are up for debate. Hopefully but we'll have to wait and see what MondoCon brings. |

The more I look at my 3 the more they piss me off. I could get past minor errors but the seems, loose joints, broken belts just killed any enthusiasm I had for these long ago. Really considering trying to return them at this point I don't even want Raph.

I'm right there with you. I keep debating it over and over now, but I'm just not as happy with these anymore as I want to be. I keep thinking at least having Raph and finishing the team will make it all ok somehow but I know better lol. I was fine with my Leo and Donnie but the two Mikeys I've received being underwhelming kind of broke me. Those rubber heads are most likely going to rot and I'm probably going to have half a team in 10 or 15 more years. At this point Raph will probably fare as bad or worse than Mikey in QC terms. And I don't even care about the poster anymore.

My mikey had missing white paint on his teeth and excess rubber on the head seam which I had to pick off.
Compared to Leo I think the materials have changed which personally give them a cheaper look/feel. Had my Donnie replaced twice for various reasons and currently waiting for a replacement mikey. Mondo customer service have been really good but just a bit frustrating when being in the UK I'm having to repeatedly pay import fees on replacements and these already cost a bomb in shipping in the first place. At least the packaging for these are nice and I'm supprised how every single one has arrived in mint condition. |

Well MONDO was fast to refund me for my entire subscription. While I wish I had the figures for the quality that I wanted, I am happier having $650+ back in my Paypal account...now where are those DreamEX ones?

Yes. They did for me. They sent me 4 return labels. I asked if I could return my mousers as well and they sent me a return label for that. Got a refund for all 4 + Mousers. They received them Friday and I sent an email Monday or Tuesday saying tracking showed they were returned and they processed the refund that same day. Really easy to work with. Great Customer Service.

Brock seemed pretty positive about releasing Shredder when I talked to him on IG a few weeks back so they must be pleased with the sales. I'll be surprised if we don't see Shredhead.

I think sales are not bad so far. Considering how much the over charge customers and how little effort they needed to release 4 turtles sharing 80% the same same molds.

Got all my return labels. Very fast very nice. Now I just gotta find boxes to put them in. I don't want them going back damaged.

I'm likely going to contact them early next week myself. My wife and I talked it over last night, and ultimately she's right - $650 is a hell of a lot of money for things you're just not totally happy and completely satisfied with. I'm still kind of sad about the whole thing though. I still really like the figures. I just wish the standards on them were equal to the price I paid. The two just aren't congruent though. I think the realization on that hit me even more when looking at the 1990 Neca Turtles again up close and realizing, if anything, those things should be twice the price they're selling for because the quality, frozen joints and little things aside (aka standard Neca issues), is damned impressive for the price point. The Mondo Turtles just feel too underwhelming for the money I paid.
I think if the finishing work on the rest of them was consistent with Leo and the heads remained hard plastic throughout, I'd keep them, other tiny flaws and all. But the production standards have gone downhill and it's too noticeable to me with them standing together on a shelf. Leo really looks like a high end figure to me. The others, not so much. They look and feel cheaper IMO. Such a shame. |
