Shadow Jones Cosplay

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so if I've got it wrong, I apologise.

Anyway, I'm going to Nottingham EM Con as Shadow Jones from the Mirage comics (volume 4) and my friend's going as Casey.

I understand that few will recognise it but I really like the character. It's just difficult trying to figure out what to wear because the comics in black and white. So far I've decided to go with a black leather jacket. I think I'll wear my grey skinny jeans (because everyone in TMNT wears skinny jeans for some reason) and my black Dr. Marten boots.

At this point it's pretty much an everyday cosplay, I bought the jacket especially but I was considering wearing one more often anyway. Does that sound like it could work?

I think the covers to this mini-series are the only "canon" color references.
